Would this be similar to our air boxes on the s54, where you need headers to maximize the gains?

No one knows.

It has shown some gain in European testing.

Just in case though, I have Bimmerworld LT headers plus cams sitting around

You are right, that's a big difference the interior being totally reworked on the Karbonious kit.

To me this mod is sweeter than getting an expensive Akro exhaust system or something like that. Test pipes, OEM exhaust mod, this carbon intake and tune would be a sweet ass car!

Very anxious for the results!

Hoe you get some great results. As far as I know intakes don't need a tune. So it would be great to see a Stock, carbon system intake installed pre and post tune dyne numbers.

I wonder if it's possible to remove the karbonius decal and replace the roundel with something similar to the oem //M V8 setup then it would be perfect.

I have confirmation we'll be able to replace the decal for the traditional M Power decal you see in the CSL replica boxes built by Karbonius

But like you say, it is just spectacular

What about just plain, without any decals, but with just an //M and V8 emblems instead of the roundel?

In for the group buy either way.
