RPM fluctuations, Fuel tank vent valve

So I have the same problem as other members have described regarding engine RPM fluctuations after filling the tank. Most opinions point to the fuel tank vent valve as the culprit.
My question is, where is it located for a DIY?
Anyone done a DIY for this?
Thanks

The fuel tank breather valve is a well documented problem. Irrelevant comments are just that. If you have direct experience please comment, does idle fluctuate if you fill up with the motor on?

Rat3d///M's DIY is one of the best in the DIY section. The details mentioned in removing the plenum are second to none. I experienced the symptoms mentioned, sometimes it only happened once after filling up other times it would stall multiple times. Some fill ups would not have an issue. Followed the DIY, issues I had and relevant comments are posted there.

yes, car is shut off every time as it is the rules on the military base where I fill up. Also, does not happen every time. Seems to be more prevalent when I only drive a short distance after the fill up.

Had this issue as well. Mine was after almost every fill up. Followed the diy in June, fixed the problem. It's really easy to do.

You have to learn to trust the pump shut-off system, and not try to squeeze another 50 cents or so into the tank after it shuts off. I have never had this issue.

Happens without adding more when the pump shuts off.
