Just ordered a set for my ZCPs in OEM seizes. They should be getting here Tuesday, but now I am having second thoughts, and thinking I should have went with one step wider 255/275. My car is totally stock. I ordered OEM size to keep the nimble feel and feedback. Anyone have advice as to whether I should switch before they are shipped? Thanks.

You can go as wide as 275/295 on stock zcp wheels and suspension with those tires. It's what I went with and I love it. Great traction but I am also s/c.

I have oem sizes on my cars. I have driven others M3's with wider tires and I can't tell/feel/notice the difference.

The 255/275 combo gives you only 10mm more width but also adds some height on the sidewall. This can sometimes make it look like the wheel wells are filled up better, and might marginally improve ride comfort at the expense of steering response. Whether or not you can even feel this difference is debatable, especially for a daily driver.

My two cents: if you can change to the 255/275 sizes for no extra cost, do it purely for the improved ride quality and extra wheel protection. I certainly would not pay a restocking fee or big upcharge for it.

The only benefit of 255/275 for the PS4S is it's a couple of dollars cheaper than OEM sizes from Tire Rack. Every 255/275 tire combo seems cheaper than 245/265.

Yea i ended up sticking with the OEM sizes. What a great tire. Difference from my POS Pirellis was night and day.

Because the 255/275 sizes are common amongst current BMWs and German cars. I've never seen the 245/265 size on anything else except maybe one axle of an old Porsche.

I've done that once on a previous car and made the car a bit worse. It became obvious when I went back to OEM size a while later. Wasn't this car, though, but now I won't experiment like that anymore.
