Although you will make less low end torque with a cammed stroker, if you look at the graphs it makes considerably more torque than a stock displacement S65 everywhere on the torque curve...... basically what I am saying is the stroker loses low end torque compared to a stroker with stock cams but will still be considerably more torquey than a 4.0L S65 everywhere and will drive much better on the road as a daily driver.

I believe the 4.2L that MRF Engineering built has put down ~435 whp on 91 octane on a fairly rich tune. Of course, it's also hard to compare numbers from one dyno to another. The truth is these are all great motors and putting out comparable numbers.

For the street? Yeah I bet. In race applications, there are more powerful applications:

So as long as you don't want to worry about lasting more than 24 hours or so, you have lots of options

That's correct Hujan. The MRF 4.2 did 435 WHP @ 8900 RPM's on very conservative 91 octane calibration with stock intake & filter, stock pulleys. The 4.2 reaches maximum torque on the dyno at 315 RWTQ @ 4200 RPM versus 316 RWTQ @ 5700 RPM for the 4.6.

Aleks, how well do you think the cams will help my ESS VT2-625 breathe? Any idea on what the gains would be?

My dinan stroker dyno'd a bit higher than the alekshop stroker with both on 91. My motor has almost 28k miles on it. I'm curious to why the dinan stroker dyno'd so low in the comparison thread from a while back.

It was apparently a tuning issue.

Interesting. I guess this thread was just click bait and has served its purpose. Seems to have a bad reputation, oh well.
