I work with them on a daily basis, in my personal opinion they're one of the better third party extended warranties out there, however when there's a sizeable claim it may be best to put your vehicle back to stock because in certain cases they sublet their inspections to freelance inspectors. These freelance inspectors have a tendency to be very strict towards modifications... Aside from that Safeguard would be my preferred warranty of choice should I decide to ever keep a BMW outside factory warranty.

Thanks, VERY glad to hear, hopefully shouldn't be needing anything sizable (fingers crossed), but for small claims should i be worried about putting it back to stock? Its just exhaust which is the main thing i would need back to stock

Oh no, for basic bolt on mods they're "okay" with them.

Sorry to thread jack but is it possible to purchase an aftermarket warranty outside of a dealership? I have a 2008 with 49k miles and everyone I have called only sells through dealers.

Nice, thanks for the info, how did you know you needed it done? Did you do the repair with a IND shop or BMW? thanks

Anyone have a repair get denied by safeguard? please explain what happened and why.

Looking at a completely stock 2012 coupe, dct, that has safeguard platinum w/$100 deductible.. it was a 7yr/100k plan that cost about $4k (purchased by the 2nd owner when they bought the car from the dealer) and there is about 2 years left on it

biggest concern is if it covers the dct, rod bearings, etc.. being a 2012 i think im in the safe, but you never know

any feedback appreciated
