I totally agree with you with the sedan. I myself don't like it. But the coupe will make all the difference in my eyes and will look really mean.

I hope you are right. The last model C63 AMG looked good in both coupe and sedan form................but the one that looks is the C63 AMG Black Series (sans the wing).

Haha same here!

I did test drive the F82. And I still like the E92 more to be honest.

Depends how you look at things......
The way you're looking at it, literally everything will eventually look dated. That pretty 2015 M4 will soon look dated when the LCI version comes out a few years later and you'll find yourself feeling the same way again. Always chasing the newer thing keeps you from fully appreciating what you currently have.

When you appreciate the uniqueness of what you currently have, it will never be dated.

Change the way you look at it.... All generation M's are timeless and cool in their own way. No matter what generation, a good example (clean and stock or tastefully modded) will draw attention and interest.

I can visualize a tastefully modded E9x M3 will get just as many looks and attention as a tastefully modded M4 at a car meet if they're parked next to each other.

I dont feel LCI makes a car dated. The LCI just changes the lights. Which already look great on the F80. I think what makes a M3 dated, is it being out for a long time + tons of other 3 series on the road.

I think my E92 ZCP looking like a better looking BMW on the road, and i do get some looks (nothing really crazy). But I do feel the car is getting dated when i look at other cars on the market. cars like the new corvettes, F types, 911 etc... those car have the wow factor.

I still think a clean e30 M3 or e36 M3 looks amazing. I agree its how you look at it. The e92 is special, the only M3 with a V8, revving to 8400 rpms, the last M3 coupe..... i'm content. Add a supercharger if you want more speed.

I was parked next to a 335 sport with LCI taillights and it was a huge difference - one clearly looks much older due to the taillights. My girlfriend even said "why does that one look newer?"

As for the second part of your post, I completely agree. But with some tasteful mods, it definitely helps next to one of those cars.

I just saw 2 F80 M3 within 1minute span.
Personally F80 looks better than F82. That is just me.

I am still glad that I drive an ONLY V8 M3 ever made.

The pre lci e90 cars were specially bad. I don't think we as going to see a huge change as we did before. Just my thoughts

I think whether or not a car looks dated is wholly dependent on the design of the car. I do not think the e9x looks dated. Maybe it will someday, but not yet. I think the e46 M3 is only starting to look dated. The right combo of stuff still looks great, however. Now, I do think the e36 M3 looks dated.

I will say that with the e9x, I like the look of the coupe more, but with the f8x, I like the sedan. The coupe looks a little long in the back, while those wicked flared fenders on the sedan look really powerful in a bulldog kind of way.

I agree with this. I love the way the F80 M3 looks, but am not as crazy about the F82. E9x M3s are a closer call IMO, but the nod in the looks department goes to the E92.

Well like i said, i dont think the car is DATED, i think its kind of getting dated. Although its still a very solid look IMO.

I also agree, i prefer the coupe in the E90 series. I prefer the sedan in the F80. that coupe just looks goofy, i have been saying this for some time now.

I noticed this too...the sedan has more aggressive rear fender flares on the F8x. If the coupe had similar flares on it's rear fenders, it would look so much better. Maybe it does and it's not as noticeable for some reason but being behind a coupe and a sedan, the sedan looks so much more aggressive.

Still concept as far as I know but I think it's on the i8 (correct me if I'm wrong). ...and the fact that they have the design on the M4 may mean it's not that far out since the M4 is a current car. Just my thoughts.

Absolutely not. I knew full well that the turbocharged M3 was coming and jumped on a new 2013 M3. Already went through the N54 and N55 and had no interest in going that route again w/o trying a NA high revving car.

However, we have another f30 in the family and simply love all the technology in the new one. Especially the heads up display.

I've had the same experiences as well after having an n54 wanted to try out the last n/a V8 the BMW m3 had to offer...but I wouldn't mind getting the new M4 either love the way it drives I miss all the torque

I don't like the interior of the new m4. Seems cheap to me and just feels weird. But it is a good car. Just prefer the screaming V8!
