Ha, that's good. Just let that guy keep polishing and polishing his ride and never learn how to drive it. I love the tool fests as well.

Hey why you gotta call people names. Maybe people think you are a tool for driving like a grandma all in the name of being a gentlemen for the next owner of a previously LEASED car.

You gotta have zero fear man and drive that thing!

The 2011 GT500 or even the GT for that matter really aren't muscle cars anymore. Muscle cars were only good for a straight line which is not the case anymore for the Mustang.

If you like muscle car's then the GT500 is a sweet ride. It is just different experience. If you like a lot of torque down low and something that hauls butt then go for it. It even goes good on a circle track.

You can usually find low mileage pristine examples with added mod's at the svtperformance watering hole.

There is a 2011 with a supercharger added, err upgraded Supercharger (700rwhp) for 51k right now. Black w/ red stripes.

Beauty for Reliability?

The Mustang looks great, but I wouldn't trade beauty for reliability. Giving up a BMW for a Ford? Not me! Now, that's just me. I had very awesome Ford in the past (1991 Mustang Gt 5.0), and considering the great demand they had when they came out, now I think differently. I will never ever trade my 2010 MBW M3 Sedan for any Ford, period.

I would never say BMW and reliabilty in the same sentence. Now, if you say that you would never give up a better build quality in an M3 vs any Ford then I would say "I agree". Reliability?.....ain't a dimes worth of difference between BMW and Ford as far as I am concerned.

I still think of a vette as a muscle car even though I know its handling is very good.
Would you call the Mercedes C63AMG a MuscleCar? The Mustang in its 5.4L glory is making over 100hp/litre, better fuel economy than the M3 and the darn thing can turn a corner. I would definitely concede this other than the fact the cars are making good hp/litre numbers. Even the 5.0L Mustang is over 82hp/litre and it too can turn corners.

The only reason why people call Mustangs MuscleCars is the fact thats what they were in the past, although technically the Mustang was a Pony car. The Muscle Cars were the GTO's, 454 Chevelles and so on, I'm dating myself now.

I looked at buying a Shelby GT500 vs a 2010 used M3 with 2,700 miles. Why I went with the m3 in order: 1. GT visibility horrendous, both in front and on the sides 2. totally unusable in winter 3. i think it looks cheesy, and this includes the regular mustang. what's with that over-sized fake gas cover or whatever on the bank? I cringe every-time I see that.

Also, the GT500 I was looking at didn't have the stripes. I would never buy that car with the stripes. For driving to and from clients I would have looked like a goofball.

That said, these are all nitpicky and I think the Boss 302s and Shelbys are cool. A regular mustang is just blah.

My opinion only, and I am a pure novice at this car stuff.
