Yes that is Abdul's site. He was removed from M3post. He was basically advertising here but he's not a paid sponsor. Two threads going on about it. And yes, it's a really good deal. A buddy just ordered one. Install is this Wednesday.

The moderators won’t let you post the website because vendors who pay to advertise here want you to buy new ones from them instead. I have a rebuilt actuator from Abdul at mpower. As I understand they are the same ones Jason in the UK has been rebuilding for a few years and are now proven. I replaced gears in mine but they still failed. I then bought one new actuator, but my second one is a rebuilt from Abdul at mpower. Definitely worth considering.

Stuff like this not allowing regular members to post stuff like that defeats the purpose of a forum and community. What's next? Get charged for posting in classifieds. Nobody is gonna come on this website pretty soon.

Dealer where I bought the car did one of mine, luckily free... bill was $698 I think ( that's only for the part). And told me the other had failed not long ago per BMW records.

I just bought it from Abdul, as boof stated. He was great... He was in the phone with me for a while making sure that it was in fact the throttle actuators that are the culprit of my issue. I paid for the part, which was only $350 and received it within two business days. He on top of everything and genuinely a good guy. If/ when my bank 2 actuator goes I'll buy from him again

When I needed to replace my Bank 1 Actuator I chose to go with FCP Euro and did both Banks at once.
I had contacted Jason across the pond, but the shipping costs were prohibitive. Abdul wasn't yet offering these in the states at the time, hence my FCP decision. FWIW, the price delta between FCP and Abdul is small, and I rather put my faith in FCP's lifetime warranty rather than an individual. It's great that he's offering the service though and this is just my take on the matter. At the time of writing this it's $510 a piece at FCP. |

My experience with Abdul and Mpower motorsports was nothing short of spectacular. I wasn't sure if it really was my actuators that were faulty. I was hesitant to pay for something I wasn't sure would work for me. Abdul and Paul helped me through the process. Went back and forth numerous times regarding my codes etc. He truly wasn't trying to sell me his product only. Rather he helped me with so many other concerns of mine. He offered to waive my core charge fees and also told me that if the TA's didn't solve my problem, I could return it to him and he would fully refund me. Wow.
I received both my actuators in amazing bubble wrap. Installed them and fortunately, it was my actuators that needed to be replaced! The best $700.00 I've ever spent. I'm sending my cores back tomorrow. I also was considering buying from FCP. But saved more than 300 dollars buying from Abdul. That's a no brainer. One of my friends from Canada purchased it from Mpower as well. In Canada, the dealership charges between $1,600.00 to $2,000.00 CAD for ONE actuator! HWY robbery. You have private companies selling them for 800-1000 CAD. But compare that to 350 USD for one from Abdul. From what my friend told me, they have to pay customs if they buy from FCP and other sites like that. So it ends up being almost 800-900 CAD at the end of the day. Also, the warranty documents have Mpower's name and Rebuild UK's name on it. So both business's are taking responsibility for the Lifetime warranty. In a world driven by reviews, Rebuild and Mpower reviews are 100 percent positive. |

At this cost, does it ever make sense to do it before they go bad? Or is this more of a wait till/if it happens situation?

It seems like the rebuilding guy in UK is spot on with warranties, but using old cores are they warranting if other parts fail? The Continental VDO OES units are very competitive at this point of buying new which imo is a better buy. Lifetime warranty with fcpeuro.

Lets remember the forum costs money to operate, it isn't free. I think it hurts the community a lot more when sponsors are able to make people and threads disappear when they don't like them The forum seems to tread a fine line. You can sell things here but not open an entire thread just talking about that |

For some people, 300 plus dollars is truly a great savings! And who knows when fcp decides to hike their price up. The poor e60 m5 guys don't have the option of vdo. The cheapest they can get an actuator for is in the $600's. So they save upwards of $500.00 per set if purchased from Mpower motorsports. |

We probably need to a define a fine line between someone trying to invent some service or product for the community vs being classified and treated as a total "vendor". The m5board has done a great job at this. They give their own private members a lot of flexibility to advertise their own service/product. Timmay tips. Jeds headers. Diny radio controls. These are just some examples. And the latest breakthrough are the Vanos Solenoids. The thread started a few months ago and it has over 400 replies. http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/sho...d.php?t=580962 |
