Regrets

hey guys i am sure its been asked and i am sure no one would admit it, but do any of you guys regret getting the e90 instead of the e92? really torn between the two like the looks of the coupe but kind need the practicality of the sedan. any input would be appreciated

Dude you need to do what you feel will make you happier. It doenst matter what anyone else thinks.
They E90 is just as a awsome as the E92 performance wise.
If you feel that it would be more practical for you to get the coupe then go for it. Its all based on your needs.
You cant go wrong either way/

Sedan is better, better center of gravity, extra speakers, better bang for your buck.

If u need to haul people or stuff, u can always get a minivan or second car. Get the E92 for what it's made for. I got the e92 and discovered that it wasn't practical to serve my purpose, that is go the gym and shopping, so I bought a cooperS as a beater to get the job done. I'm sure when that car arrives, I will find it even more impractical so I'll probably end up with the odyssey. Kinda shopping for one now... Agh it never ends... Just life I guess

To each his own, but the E92 and the E93 definitely look sleeker than the E90. E90 wins in the practicality department. If you don't have kids, get the E92/E93.

Wasn't this exact same topic posted three or four threads down?

Bottom line: If you wan't practicality: get a C63, if you wan't performance: get a civic.

This. If you can swing a $65k car, another $7k for a beater Honda CR-V is not that much.

I like the looks of the sedan and plus it is convenient to have four doors for those weird times you do have people in the car. But the e92 sure is sexy

I just love how unique the e90 sedan is with the e92 front end yet has the e90 rear. It won't ever look like all the other 3series on the roads.

Plus they didn't make as many.

The E90 looks more aggressive to me. It has four doors, you wonder why? Because the non-M coupe already looks somewhat aggressive. The M3 isn't far off from the non-M coupe IMO. The sedan however, turns more heads because at first glance it looks like a regular E90 BMW then you wonder why it has that monstrous front end, and the big wheels, and the rakish stance, and those four pipes at the back. It looks more different than its non-M counterpart than the E92 M3 does. The E90 non-M is also more popular (here in NY) than the E92, so people are so used to seeing the non-M when they see the M3 they're like "wtf was that?". When they see an E92 M or non-M they already expect it to be a performance car. People are stupid like that.

Plus the E90 M is more rare.
