DCT prices
Heya, what're people paying nowadays for DCT cars now that 6sp prices seem to be softening? Seems like dealers didn't stock DCTs for 2008, so almost every one is a special order...anyone getting a sub-MSRP deal?

I've been talking to this dealer for 2500 off MSRP, wasn't hard to get at all. I'm thinking of pushing for 3000 off MSRP.

Wow! what a car! Went to test drive - just to make sure DCT is not jerky as my SMG... DCT will pass my wife motion-sickness test...
Unfortunately, my CA said NO discount but might be able to work something out if I want a 6-speed. What?!? No way my wife is going to learn 6-speed. Is there a 6-speed wife option? |

$2,500 off MSRP on an ordered E90 w/ DCT.
Had to go out of state to get it though. Thats probably your best bet since the LA market is probably a lot like the NYC market. DCT is unreal. Rides like a auto in traffic, better then a stick (or at least better then i can drive a stick) when you want fun. |

I am waiting for my second BMW. It is a DCT M3. I have been waiting several months and purchased at MSRP. I made up $4,000 in "return" customer lease rates, or so I am told.
Like GT3, I have been waiting a long time. I have thought about moving to a MY2009, but I am not waiting another 3-4 months to get the car with some extra bling and possible 3% price increase. By the way GT3, CONGRATS on the new car!

I've got that too, but it's okay with me that she prefers her auto Merc.

i got $2250 off on mine, plus some extras...
anywhere in the 3% - 5% over invoice should always be easy to obtain. now if i was buying one off of the lot, i am sure i could have done much better |

Found the DCT coupe I wanted, list was 72k. I offered 67k as a starting point and the salesperson said my offer was insultingly low. I walked out the door. If 5k off is not a good starting point in a negotiation he can keep the damn thing. I'm patient, in 6 months months they will be wishing for people to be taking their inventory. Dealers in SoCal need to stop this feeling of superiority that they don't need to deal.

Just greedy, others are dealing on DCT's, it is just a matter of time. The cars are fresh, so they will milk the market as much as they can. When I was at another dealer they were still asking 10k over sticker, that was a good laugh. After a few seconds of talking to them they did not even mention the markup to take the car.

$3500 off an inventory 08 M3 Coupe w/ DCT, carbon, and all options. It was from a dealer in Houston. They also got a white 08 M3 Coupe w/ DCT, Sunroof, and all options if anyone else is interested. It took a couple of days to negotiate but it was worth it.
