JRZ RSone - Rebuild? or go 2-way
Picked up a set of lightly used RSone dampers, and finally got around to putting them on. Lo and behold, left rear is mushy.. My installed didn't notice, but my alignment guy did.
So, I've already called Olsen in IL and they quoted $225 each. Should I just rebuild the rear(s), or just do all 4? But hey, at least the car looks great Edit: Thinking about just going 2-ways, looking at KW's clubsport. Thoughts? Last edited by spooni; 01-18-2021 at 01:07 PM.. |

If you don't know when the last rebuild was, rebuilding all 4 might be a good idea. With lots of track use rebuilding dampers every 2-3 years or less is pretty common. Shop around for a quote though. Inertia Lab here in DFW might be able to beat that price and Chris there does great work.

Another vote for Inertia Lab.
I'd just redo all 4. You're going to feel stupid if another has an issue a month later...why live with that anxiety in the back of your mind constantly? At the very least, do both rears.

As the others have said, highly recommend rebuilding all 4. I had a damper start leaking right before the start of last years track season, and while the timing sucked, I wasn't going to risk having another issue/episode again. If one has already failed, then the others are soon to follow. For the simple peace of mind of knowing you wont have to deal with it for another 30k+ miles, I'd recommend doing all 4.
