Mid-Road trip: filthy, but couldn't resist
Off I-5 just north of Shasta. Little Shasta on the left, Black Butte cinder cone on the right. Drove from Portland -> San Diego -> Portland. 2300 miles, $470 in gas, and 32 hours of driving |

Pro Tip: Avoid filing up in the San Joaquin valley if you can. Shell V-Power was $4.59 a gallon at some stations.... (La Banos in particular). |

The plan is - early Friday AM (I'm thinking 4 am ish) drive straight to Portland - Sat AM cars and Coffee while my wife is at her event - Sunday drive out to the Goonies rock and end in Florence for the night - Monday is Florence to Crater Lake... maybe make it to Ashland that night - Tuesday hopefully catch a play in Ashland since that's what they are known for - Wednesday is the long drive back home Comicon get's pretty crazy, hope you had a good time. I had my FJ Cruiser so I can load up the roof rack with all the swag that my wife gets. We where there all 4 days. There was another Silverstone M3 that I spotted at the Con as well parked at the Hilton the whole time. |

I had the M3 in Valet Parking at the Marriott Gaslamp, which is where we were staying. Not our first SDCC but the first time we've had a downtown hotel, so that was pretty awesome.
