Thanks! I still LOVE the E46 M3. I always make a scene (thumbs up and pointing mostly) when I see a LSB E46 M3, which is typically met with a look of confusion/fear from the E46er. I think I am a bit too intense!

Thank you! Yea, no kidding with the dealer being stubborn with the paint price. Originally I was going to do a matte blue, but the maintenance behind it was a hassle. That, and it was becoming WAY too much of a trend AND you can get a wrap for half the price. I was quoted $5k for the matte paint, but then I backed out of that and asked for the LSB paint; the quote was still $5k?! It kinda boggled my mind. If I wasn't chasing this car for so long, I would have gotten a standard color, but it was my first BMW, so I wanted to do it big. I updated the original post with the specs. Thanks again.

Funny you say that... I was strongly considering doing a LSB M4, but I have a few qualms. It's another $5k for a color similar to Yas Marina blue, which is free. People will constantly mistake it for Yas, which will leave a bad taste in my mouth, especially after forking over $5k. This of course is not taking anything from Yas, which is a nice color in its own right. Sigh... First world problems.

Hey! I'm surprised that you haven't seen me around. I'm in White Plains and Yonkers all the time. Yea, the M4 is no joke, plus the tech has really got me interested. LED headlights, Heads up display with special M tach, rev matching with the 6MT, light weight chassis, the list goes on and on. As much as I love my car, it just feels dated. Even simple stuff like a back up camera and blind spot warning my current car lacks. Maybe a LSB M4....?

My guess is $50kish, but who knows with dealers these days. I kept the car in relatively good condition and people constantly stop in me the street to strike up conversation about the color. Typically it's people who are not driving BMWs, yet are quite knowledgeable about LSB, which is pretty cool. What also is pretty sweet is when it's women who stop me to chat about the car, but I digress...

Either way, you certainly made your mark with LSB. Given the demand, you might actually get a better offer from a private sale than the trade-in value. |
