Painted stripe along the side...how much $$$ to spend?

Hello,

I got an Jet Black E90 and I looove the painted stripes I've seen in other threads.
Here are some photos.
How much $$$ would it cost to get them done?

Thanks

Alex

i think it would be better to get this done in vinyl. If you ever decide you no longer want the stripes, or want a different color/style it is much easier to change then. probably shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred bucks.

I'm not a big fan of vinyl. However, its maybe a good idea to go vinyl first, if I still like it after some month I then could get it painted.
Are those vinyl stripes are custom made or is there a online shop somewhere with some designs to choose from?

BMW makes an OEM one I think... I've seen it on the performance catalog for the 335i E90 lol. Though I don't think its that bad. Its like a little black pin stripe...

Amen to that. It might not be as nice as paint, but I could bet 98 out of 100 potential buyers wouldn't like those stripes, and if they're like me, painted ones would be a deal-breaker. Vinyl, however, is an easy fix. From a foot away they'd look the same, and you wouldn't have resale problems. Your call.

I would do vinyl. With my personal knowledge, paint would be more expensive, and a bigger deal. I wouldnt want to mess with paint.

That's one of the WORST looks you could do to an M3. You should just take a sledgehammer to it.

Definitely do Vinyl! I've actually been contemplating the OEM Stripes...i think they look pretty cool and would be a cool way to switch up the look temporarily and relatively easily.

I wonder if the vinyl can be removed and reapplied though?
