Tint in Denver?

Who does good tint in Denver and what kind of film do they offer? Has anyone gotten their tint done through Gebhardt?

IDS

I'm down south and had my tint & 3M wrap done by IDS off Broadway & C470 (http://www.idswindowtint.com/). They came highly recommended by Schomp and I think they did a fantastic job.

+1

IDS did a great job for me as well. Came highly recommended and then when I bought my M, Schomp was happy to coordinate with them because they use them too for the higher end vehicles. So had the work done by IDS even before I took delivery from Schomp.

IDS did tint. Had one issue where the corner peeled up from where the window "cracks" when the door opens. Told them, and they didn't even blink - took care of it. It's been great ever since. Over 1.5 years ago.

They also did my clear bra, equally great job. Bra 24" to cover bulge and also did lower quarter panels. They followed the cars lines so well, you can barely see it.

FYI, there are a lot of other posts on this. Do a search

I am doing an ED on the e90 next week and am looking to do some tint. Have you guys experienced any tint scratching like I have been reading about on other posts?

I've got a pretty bad example of it. I started the thread below to show people some pics of how bad it can get. Definitely get tint protector or get the inner seal cut.

Be sure to use this link for the forum discount.

I still haven't gotten my car tinted but I'll be putting my tint protector on shortly.

Any experience with Extreme Autoworks?

E.A. is located in Lakewood, by Prestige Porsche and is the only Huper Optik Ceramic tint installer in Denver (that I found).

They are expensive, but having checked a few references, they have a stellar reputation and offer a lifetime guarantee against scratching (important with the e90 I suspect), incl. if you replace glass (as I plan to have the front WS done in 70% as well)

Any forum members in Denver use them. Please post pics if you can.

I thought Gladius had Huper, you might want to PM him. I've never heard of EA one way or another. Let us know how it goes.

Hey man I was just about to hit you up to see if you wanna go to EA together for a multi car discount? I want to have tint and clear bra done the same day I get delivery (which should be in about 10 days).

Also, Intrigue has this product for the windshield called clearplex that I also want to get done ASAP.

What do you think? Can I count you in?

What all are you planning of having done to your car? (as far as tint and clear bra)

If you already have a contact at EA then you should ask him what type of discount we can both get if you bring another buddy in to have his car done too.

They did a killer job at EA

Huper takes a long time to fully cure, but EA pays EXTREME attention to detail!

Huper claims up to 12 weeks, EA say closer to in the winter time.

That is nice to see in a world of 2 hour, hand cut tint jobs...

Pics to follow soon.

Has anybody used Intrigue Detail for tint or clear bra? My car is there right now and it is taking a little longer then expected so I am kinda worried.

How much clear bra did you guys get? How do the clear bra line look around the mouth and headlights of your bumper?

I've heard mixed reviews about their detail work but nothing about tint and bra work. For the latter, if I were to do it again, I would get the entire hood and full bumper done (no lines and full bumper coverage.) One thing I am glad I did was to get the headlights covered. Unlike the E46, the lenses cannot be replaced separately from the light unit.

I would have done the whole hood and fenders. Still not convinced about the bumper. My clear bra guys said they rarely do bumpers because bumpers tend to bounce off rocks and are easier to deal with, while the metal clear coat surfaces are much more fragile. YMMV.

Ok so a quick update on my car....I went with the full hood / bumper coverage from Intrigue Detail. Well, they covered the car using Ventureshield because 3M doesn't make scotch guard big enough to fit the M3 hood. The Ventureshield didn't come out correctly the first time so before I even picked up the car the shop did it all over again. Well, the second time the Clear Bra still didn't look up to our standards so the shop suggested that I let it dry for a week and if it still doesn't look right that they will keep fixing it until im happy or give me a refund if I choose. In the mean time, the guys from the shop have been in constant contact with me and expressed that they feel really bad that I am not totally happy with their product. So much so that I got an email where the guy says "ive been up all night thinking about your car" (that makes two of us lol). Anyway, they offered to test / use the new Avery-Dennison Nano-Fusion film on my car at no additional charge and they are going to tint another one of my cars for free. The reviews on this new film are amazing! It is so new that the shop owner says I will be one of the first people in the country to have this on their car. This product was a major highlight of last years Sema show. It is much more expensive then the Ventureshield but from what Ive read and been told, it is a far superior product. At this time it is only available to dealers but Intrigue says they can get it. It has also not been available in large 60in sheets (which is needed for an M3 full hood wrap) until now.

Anyway, I will say that although my clear bra experience with Intrigue has not been perfect, their customer service has been. They are going above and beyond to make sure that I am 100% happy. Assuming that the new AD clear bra turns out as good as expected, I would highly recommend their shop. If you care about customer service then these are the guys to see. The shop manager even said that if the new AD film comes out as great as they expect, that he is going to call all his old M3 clients and offer to replace their clear bras for free. This new clear bra is supposed to make all other ones virtually obsolete.

Check out this review:
http://www.planet-9.com/porsche-care...rotection.html
I will keep you guys updated.

It's got to be tough to cover that much square area perfectly...good on them, glad they are making it right.

Sid,

Thank you for the opportunity to work on your car, and I am glad we got it right and the car looks good.

I appreciate you giving us the chance to rework the hood with a different film to your satisfaction. We do not always get it right on the first try, but will always keep going until you are happy.

If you are happy I hope you let your other m3 people know as we are offering the full hood option at a discount as a result of the learning process that took place with your car.

Thanks,

Justin
