Under panel Damage - need help
Hey all,
I just got a 2011 E93 within the last 3 weeks and noticed some damage under the front bumper from hitting a parking block. It doesn't look too bad, but I took some pictures of it. For anyone with experience in this, let me know if this is worth replacing immediately. If so, what parts are needed? Thanks! View post on imgur.com |

This has been covered extensively, there are 2 aftermarket options to replace this fragile undertray system with metal replacements.

Turner Motorsport makes one and Slambo/Another User (I can't remember the name right now) makes the other one. I have the Slambo piece and it is awesome. If you do a search, it should be one of the first hits.

I would replace soon. The undertray protects the engine from water and debris being flung up there -- imagine if a rock gets slung up into a pulley!
It also directs air flow within the engine bay for proper cooling.

In addition to everything mentioned so far, the tray also connects together the bumper cover and fender liners to the frame. Without the undertray parts everything flops around and gets torn up. |
