The market has already come down considerably.
I'm going to go test drive a 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350 today... I have a thing for high revving v8s if that wasn't obvious from my e92 m3 ownership...
I've never driven a GT350 or c6 z06. I'll report back about the GT350.

GT350 is a fun car (assuming you don't blow up the motor) but surprisingly not that fast.

C6Z06 is a fantastic car. They can have issues with a head issue, and the Internet would have you think it's a guaranteed thing, but I've known several people that haven't had upgraded heads done and never had issues.

That said, those two engines are vastly different. The LS7 makes a ton of power and it just happens to spin to 7k rpm. The GT350 Predator motor doesn't make much torque, and has to spin up high to make power. The GT350 is actually slower 0-60 than the Boss 302 was.

Clearly, we are not talking about some 1 of 5 ever made XYZ. You're being obtuse.

I've owned a modded C6Z. I'd take that over the GT350.

C6 Z06 with upgraded heads all day long over the GT350. The GT350 motor is too much of a risk and the Stang is so damn heavy and hard on expendables. The Voodoo 5.2 does makes some sexy sounds though but will also vibrate your teeth.

The C6 Z06 is easy to work on, parts are cheap, the engine is simple, it's a great driver, etc. etc. etc. Just need to address those heads to be safe.

GT350 all day every day, WHAT an engine. The 2018 (?) and later ones should be ok, you'd be super unlucky to have an issue. And WHAT a noise.

Is he though? he never said really rare stuff, just enthusiast stuff that is not super common. So stingray vette's maybe feel the drop but I can say for sure that 997.2's are holding VERY firm as i watch that market closely.

The market has been softening for quite some time, but owners seem reluctant to admit it. This seems to be a theme across all vehicles… diesel trucks, Porsches, jet skis, etc.
I think the E9X M3 market is at an inflection point (10+ years) and there is a wild spectrum of values. The crème de la crème will certainly follow the EAG and BAT route, however a lot of these fell into younger hands with stacks of deferred maintenance and wishful thinking prices. I too have been searching and it is extremely frustrating dealing with these types of sellers who can barely be bothered to take a set of interior, exterior, and undercarriage images nor answer questions about key maintenance items.

In general, things you can't buy new anymore probably won't drop much anymore, if at all.

Manual transmission Corvettes, might see a little drop, but not much (compared to the autos). V8 sedans, probably pretty safe bet you won't see them drop much more.

911s just don't make sense. An early tiptronic 997, or a tiptronic 996, doesn't really offer a compelling reason to go with them other than just pure "it's cheaper than a new one".
