Here is Ryan's quote... what do you guys think? I don't think I'd be able to drive only 10k / yr, I like driving a lot.

Premium Package
Competition Package
Enhanced Premium Sound

MSRP - $74,275

Invoice - $68,970

Your price – $69,570 + tax and license

36 month lease 12k miles per year
Total out of pocket - $2344

I just graduated college with an engineering degree so I wonder if I can get any discounts relating to that... I sent an email to Ryan but he probably won't get back to me until after the new year.

Cost is $68570 + $200 Training + $400 MACO

$600 over that is fine. Looks like he is giving you buy rate on the lease. I think $600 of profit on a $75k car is fine.

This was my quote for the following specs:

2012 BMW M3 Coupe
Mineral White
Fox Red/Black/Black
Carbon Leather Trim
6spd Manual Transmission
Premium Package
Competition Package
Heated Seats

MSRP - $70,495
Invoice - $65,510
Your price – $66,110 + tax and license

I'm trying to add up the cost but am I missing something? Can someone confirm the following numbers and that the MACO/Training fees are $600?

$55,110 M3 Coupe
$500 Mineral White
$275 Fox Red/Black/Black
$0 Carbon Leather Trim
$0 6spd Manual Transmission
$3960 Premium Package
$2275 Competition Package
$455 Heated Seats

$875 Destination
$1300 Gas Guzzler Tax
$600 MACO/Training

$65350 Invoice Total

I'm $160 off the calculated invoice... am I missing Doc fees? Are they included in the invoice?

Looks like there are two differences between your numbers and updated#s.

2012 Base price after 12/31 is 55,290 not 55,110.
Destination and handling is now 895, not 875.

Without MACO and Training service fee, MSRP looks like: 70,495?
Invoice: 64,950?

HTH.

How does this lease deal sound? Seems a little higher than others in the thread. This will be my first lease, so not sure if anything seems off:

2012 BMW M3 Coupe
Space Gray
Black Novillo Leather
Carbon Leather Trim
DCT
Moonroof
Premium Package
Enhanced Premium Sound

MSRP - $71,775
Invoice - $66,695
Your price - $67,295 + tax and license

36 month lease 15k miles per year

Total out of pocket - $1802.93 + DMV

Payment - $1032.93 includes estimated TX sales tax

MF: .00195
Residual: 59%

If I put down 7 MSD: $7K, payment drops to $977.28.

Will be shipping car from Ryan @ Steve Thomas BMW.

Plan on pulling trigger tomorrow...

FYI, leasing in Texas (as well as Illinois) is a bad idea because you are taxed on the FULL VALUE of the car rather than just the leased portion.

In other words, assuming a 6% sales tax, you are paying 67,295*59% residual*6% = $2382 out of pocket extra.

Oh, and should you decide you want to buy the car at the end of your lease term you will pay full sales tax on the cost of the car AGAIN. So, unless you don't mind paying these penalties I'd look into financing. In any event, you can't go wrong with Steve Thomas from everything I hear so have fun with the car

If you would like a comparison quote shoot Ryan an email. you can compare the two deals. 3615 over invoice is not a good deal at all.

Holy crap. Bend over and grab your ankles sir. I only pay 2.25% on the monthly payment.

Ryan's deal will be much better. $600 over invoice, ~$1K to ship the car (or courtesy delivery to nearby dealer if ordering), and you still save $2-3K. I'm in the middle of a deal with him myself, just being held up for a few days for another matter.

Thanks for the info...I generally always finance, but was planning on getting my first BMW/M3 for a more fun car and don't plan on keeping it past the warranty (worried about long term reliability and my last 3 cars were Lexus). I'm hoping to get the M3 itch out of my system with this lease....
