damn, that is very sad, especially since insurance will not add on any value for the massive amounts of custom work.

Unfortunately it's true
The fast lane stopped very quick and so did I but the Lexus & Mercedes Sprinter behind didn't even brake....
It is insured on an Agreed value policy so I'm hopefully keeping the car and some decent ££.
It destroyed the boot floor and closed the door gap one side, it will repair but I don't want to repair this shell.
Not sure what to do yet reference rebuilding or stripping for parts.

You should get in touch with BMW in Germany and see if you can donate to them as a museum piece.

I would hope BMW would recognize your vehicle as a work of art!

Sad to see, definitely was one of my favourite cars.

Glad to hear you had it insured for agreed value so hopefully you will get most of the value back.

Oh well, as they say the good thing about a broken BMW is a new BMW.

Perhaps an F31 M3.

Just waiting on insurance then doing some pricing to see what a new complete(new shell) build in frozen grey will cost

What a shame. Hopefully, you are alright and you know...in the end of the day it's just metal. I know that you worked really hard to make it look like this, just a stunning piece of art that BMW should put it in a great position at the museum.

I wish you to find the best solution for that terrible situation.

BTW the shell looks ok, why you don't you want to repair it?

This car/build has had its very highs and lows and I just feel as if I'm done with it.
I had only just refreshed the car with supercharger, all new front panels, paint, Akrapovic exhaust, mode Carbon splitter and Challenge rear diffuser all coming to £18,000/$24,000.
I've had the car back off the insurance now but have sold it minus the brakes and performance seats.
