car hesitates when hard acceleration between 1-2.5k rpm

Driving the car normally car drive fine.
Problem I’m having is when I give it full throttle/ hard acceleration and I’m in 1-2.5k rpm car hesitates/studders/ bug out. After I going up to 3rpm car goes and response right alway. I did my spark plugs coil pack all 8 of them and currently all I have done is catless exhaust system valvetronic design and have a bpm tuned stage 2

My friend recently went thru the same issue. He had just put on a custom valved exhaust with stock tune. When he put the stock exhaust back the problem went away. Try that first.

How long have you had the current exhaust and BPM tune? When did you start noticing the hesitation?

Does it also happen with valves open/close?

When you say you did the spark plugs and coil packs - all 8 of them.. Did you install the OEM NGK LKR8AP Spark plugs or something else? Did you install the OEM Bosch coil packs or something else?

Is the new exhaust catless or with high flow cats? Because the BPM Stage 2 tune you mentioned above is typically matched to the type of exhaust cats being used..

Try turning off completely the traction control (to do that hold down DSC button for 2 seconds) and see if the hesitation behavior is reduced.

Other members have reported hesitation with non OEM coil packs and when using aftermarket non NGK OEM plugs such as Denso, or Champion.

Also, does the new exhaust change the position of the X in the piping? Forward vs rear x has been known to impact drivability

There you go. The problem is your exhaust with the forward x merge.

Have to agree with Redd. You should contact Alpine or Epic Motorsports for a tune, and let them know you have a forward X.

I had a BPM with ESS (also forward X). The Epic tune made it drivable again.
