Thanks Richbot for the review and installation info in this thread - it was the major contributor for me deciding to get these coilovers. I just installed them on my car and they've been a big improvement over my 100k mile stock EDC shocks.

For anyone in the future converting an EDC car to these coilovers, you need 2x of each of these non-EDC rear strut mounting parts as the EDC shock threaded post is thicker than non-EDC and the Sachs part match the non-edc diameter.

I had a question about the front ride height: I have the front spring perch set just within the maximum 190mm "pinch-bolt to screw adjuster distance" as specified in the manual. At this setting, after settling for a couple days the front ride height is taller than stock (about 14.63inch center of wheel to fender edge - stock should be ~14.5inch). At this height there's a relatively large "3 finger gap" between tire and fender edge.

I would like to get to around ZCP height (though I assume your measurements are including a 6mm Dinan camber plate?). What do you mean by having the lower spring perch/adjuster collar level with the sidewall- what part of the sidewall? And does that correspond to leaving 18mm of thread (mentioned in the last page) still showing below the bottom of the billet strut mount? Per the Sachs instructions I could lower the spring preload adjustment by up to 40mm (from 190mm to 150mm) which should correlate to a 20mm drop in ride height.

Also, you mentioned shortening the swaybar endlinks as you lower the spring preload (since the swaybar mounting bracket needs to come down too). That was my original inclination too and the reason I set the spring adjustment to the max 190mm (I have stock endlinks and 190mm puts the endlink mount location as close to stock as possible). I wonder if this is necessary as the Sachs instructions show using the stock endlinks and make no mention of shorter ones? I suppose stock endlinks should work as long as Sachs has checked that up to a 40mm lower nominal position of the swaybar does not cause interference with any other suspension components like the steering rack.
