Damaged Forgeline
I had a little run in with a NASCAR (last generation). He turned down on me going into turn 4 at PIR. I don't think he was using his mirrors. Two laps later my tire went down (it sheared off my valve stem). The wheel was probably okay but I decided to replace the center. I have been more than happy with my Forgelines! They are a perfect fit for situation and application.

Love Forgeline's! Best wheel on the market.

They quite good to work with. Some may or may not know that each set is made to order. Given my widebody e46 M3 I certainly had some special requirements. A unique offset with a European AP Racing BBK. Forgeline contacted AP Racing Essex and got physical measurements before designing and manufacturing the wheels. I was impressed!

I'd be curious to send that back to Forgeline and get it x-rayed or whatever -- looks like it held up well, and that's another advantage of a multi-piece!

I'm not knowledgable about these things...so I'm curious......what race series puts an E46 and a Nascar together?

In the Pacific Northwest we have SCCA and ICSCC. This was an ICSCC race weekend and as a novice (at the time) had to start in the back of the field even though i qualified P2. And someone just didn't realize I was coming like a freight train. Didn't use his mirrors nor peripheral vision. My car is built to the SCCA GT2 rule book. ICSCC uses the SCCA rule book but also includes cars that don't normally fit in a class. My last race included everything from spece46 to a (depending on who you ask) 850 or 1000 hp Mercury Cyclone which was a GT1 car. I finished P1 in GT2 and P1 overall.
*Basically at the regional level you are going to have a mixed race group with different classes of cars. It all depends on the organization and how many cars are in each class. If you go the SCCA runoffs you will only be racing in class/no other classes. |

Congrats on the win! I'm assuming you didn't have to start in the back of the field for that one?
