I got mine last month and yes, it was a lil undersize. I ended up cracking them a lil but it stayed on tight, the set will be useless if I decide to remove them in the future.

The vendor sent me a replacement set in case I need them. Got mine from Simon@Rennspec. Great customer service.

+1 on Renn Spec. I believe the new shipments do not have issues with screw fitment. Props to Simon for standing behind his product and replacing faulty markers.

Thanks very much. It was an easy fix, and I found it because I am also an M3 owner. I'll continue to provide the screws until I'm sure the problem has been corrected. It's a little extra effort, but well worth it to avoid any problems.

On a side note. My car has been at Borla for 4 days for R&D on a midpipe. I'm looking forward to getting her back.

I got mine yesterday from **********s, same thing happen on the driver's side, screw just broke. I was comparing with the stock part and it looks much more fragile.

Sorry to hear you guys had a problem. It's a good rule of thumb to never force a screw that feels too big into a plastic piece. That is why i provided the #8 x 3/4" sheet metal screws with the one's I shipped. I'm sure they are all the same, as most of these parts are made in Asia. If anyone has these I highly recommend you replace the screws or gently open up the hole slightly with a drill until the stock T-24 torx screw goes in fairly easily.

Hey Guys,

This is the first time I have heard of any issues with these grill sets and actually did not come across this thread until a fellow member pointed it out. If you are having issues with our grills, please contact us directly rather than hoping we come across your post. As far as I know, we have not had any issues with the side gills and carry the most updated versions. If you are having troubles with the grills or need a smaller screw, please contact us directly so we can assist you in making it right. We stand behind our products 100% and built our reputation and following based on this premise. I would hate to see any customer get stuck with a product that is not to their satisfaction so I will do everything in my power to make it right

Dammit just came across this thread but too late now...the passenger side screw housing broke completely and the driver side one had a crack in the housing (though screw is secure). I got mine from JLevi and just contacted Nick, so hopefully they will be able to send me a new set with hopefully smaller size screws (or I can just run to Home Depot if sending screws is a hassle). Will keep you posted...I also created a thread today on this very problem lol. If only I would have searched earlier...

I should have jumped on here awhile ago, but yeah we updated all off them about 3 weeks ago now, so all customers have a new updated side markers no longer any problems.

i'm pretty sure i got the old kit, but if you follow the advice to pre-drill the holes at 5/32, then it's a non-issue. i know you shouldn't have to do that, but if you receive the older version, it's not the end of the world.
