Door Latch Pull Straps

Just curious, have anyone bought/installed the Hard Motorsport door latch pull strap?

Curious how it looks in person and install process. The website is a bit deceiving that the product photo doesn't show the fact you have to cut open the oem latch pocket. But it does mentions it in the description and in the install guide.

I am interested in getting it, but a little unsure about the finished look. I'm not sure if I like how the CF cover bulge out. I assume it is to make enough clearance for the pull mechanism, however if that's not the case then I would likely make my own cover that follows the shape of the door panel.

Would you mind taking some photos of the CF cover? Their image looks like the cover bulge out quite a bit.

they have a cool factor to them. i definitely like mine. photos are deceiving in terms of quality.

they are made from 3d printed plastic. the latch catch is a bit finicky. (there is fine print warning you might lose central locking capabilities) mine work about 80% of the time to lock, unlocking is fine.

you also can't pull on them to close the door. they will jam up on the locking mechanism and you will have them out to straight up.

the cover is only held in by self tapping screws.

i would still say do get them if you have a weekend toy. if you're daily driving or have new people sitting in the car that don't know how to handle them, there is a high risk of breaking them. hardmotorsport's products are mostly designed for the indy weekend track toy without much worry about the daily necessities.

I'm most concerned about the durability of the 3D printed components.
