Suspension weight savings
Just curious how much weight savings there might be if replacing the EDC shocks in the E9x with say KW v3?

The opposite. Oem edc struts are surprisingly light and are aluminum (I think). KW V3s are stainless steel and heavier. Strictly talking weight here, not performance of shocks.
When I was installing my Ohlins, I was impressed at how "light" the OEM EDC struts were. The Ohlins were slightly heavier. I didn't weight anything, just by feel and memory. This is a good starting point for your research: https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1105568 |
