(pics inside) damaged skid plate / under belly plate
Item is out of stock at dealership, and is a 4 piece plastic cover that runs ~$600 I was told. Are there aftermarket options? I don't want to leave it exposed (especially since one of the hoses is bent, see image). There are some posts of people fabricating their own out of aluminum, and I'm not sure if the Ebay ones can be trusted to... shatter reliably to protect the bumper. Is this a good replacement? http://www.ebay.com/itm/ProTEKt-BMW-...-/301566593702
Also, a few hours after this happened, the TPMS went off. Does any one know if the dangling cable is related to it? Everything is working normally and there are no codes stored. |

you don't need those skid plates, you need these three pieces.
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...51757899820kt/ and no, you don't want to leave it exposed, your car will run warmer because those pieces help with airflow through the coolers. i don't know what that plug is for just by looking at it... might be for tpms antennae. where in california are you?

It looks like either that wiring connection got pulled out, or you have totally lost a tpms module. There are 4 total on these cars, 1 at each corner of the vehicle. On the fronts they are attached to the front section of the fender liner via 2 expanding plastic rivets. You can easily find a replacement on ebay if needed. Look on realoem to find the part number, and you will see that these modules are used across different bmw models as well as mini.

That connector is to the TPMS antenna located in fender liner. Plug it back and TPMS should be good. Get the belly pan kit from ECS and anyone can install it.

Here is the only aftermarket alternative that I know of. I can also help with used parts to help save money.
