Talking BPM Sport/CIC Retro

After much consideration on what the best route to swap a CIC kit would be I ended up with the retrofit kit from BPM Sport.
Like others I tried to figure out a way to do it without really involving a third party. It was all just wishful thinking anyway until a month ago when my current ccc kit started getting disk read errors and the volume would freeze until the ignition was cycled.
I started contacting Mike at BPM for some suggestions and to get a idea about what all is involved. There are many option as to how to do it (emulator) method or OEM integration from other websites. What really made me decide upon the BMP kit was it is a plug and play kit, no emulators or splicing of the factory harness. It came pre programed to the car with the latest 2015 maps already loaded. I asked for future readiness for the combox as that will be a future project.
Mike always answered my calls, texts and emails. Was very upfront about what all is involved and there were no "surprises" at the end. Kept me up to date on everything even while out of town at SEMA last week.
The kit was received in a nice box, each item wrapped up with foam packaging to survive the trip from CA to NC. I read enough on the internet to do it all myself and within 1 hr it was changed out. Contacted Mike to let him know it was installed and was realistically expecting to have it coded in a few days. He offered to code the car even after work hours later that evening. Already downloaded the files on to the laptop and within 15 minutes the car was finished and going down the road.

I also have a 08' 328 that had the professional radio go out. They replaced it with the newer version and did all the programming at the dealer because of warranty work. From the day it was picked up it was obvious the sound quality difference between the old and new one. For the last 2 years every time the M3 is driven I think about that radio. Many others have mentioned that the cic kit sounds better than the ccc kit did. Some may call it placebo because they just spend a bunch of coin on a new radio. From the moment the cic kit went it was obvious, even to the wife that is now sounded like her car.
Wont go into the cic itself as most people already have it but for those who are looking for a fresh face on the dash for the 08 car look no further than BPM Sport.

BPM is awesome. Mike spent a Sunday working on my car and after I got re flashed, he met up on a different weekend to retune the car. He really goes out of his way for customers and he never fails to impress me with his knowledge.

Monoblock 500.1 with a competition 10". Sealed box. Just enough bump to sound good.
