I talked to someone from BW over the site and was told these should pretty much work fine with either the rear 08 or 11 compound with stock calipers. There's only one person I've found that used the 83 compound and no complaints (so far) - https://www.m3post.com/forums/showpo...84&postcount=6
I may pick some up as spares. Love the Cobalt stuff but they are special order and can take a couple of weeks to get. These seem like a good deal to have on hand...

Consider the Hawks, too. Dirt cheap and never out of stock. Everyone carries them. Heck, TNIA had mail-in rebates on them last year.

I've run 83s in my ST60 up front and 08s in OEM rears now for 4 track days. No complaints whatsoever. Braking seems to be very balanced and response is phenomenal. Good initial bite and very linear throughout. I am running the Bimmerworld solid brass bushing guides in the OEM rears which has made the rears wear much more evenly. 83s deposited a little on me first time out but I didn't bed them nearly enough or let them cool to ambient temps before going out on track.

I've got a coworker who just sold his F80 M4 and has a mint sent of Apex SM-10 wheels with Michelin PS4S. It has OEM TPMS in it too. Do these fit E9x platform cars?

Front is 19x10 ET25, rear is 19x11 ET44.

Yes, fits but will probably need a spacer in the rear of 10-15mm. Not sure the tires will fit easily (F80 can run taller tires than E9x.)

Just call the number on the website and if Andie doesn't answer, he'll call right back.

XR2s just arrived - took less than a week. I'm heading to Barber Motorsport Park for the first time at the end of the month - excited!

Nice! Curious to hear what you think on the XR2's vs PFC11. I didn't realize quite how expensive the Ferodo DS1.11's were, now thinking either XR2 or PFC11 fronts next and keeping what's left of my SR34's as my backup set.

I've used the XR1s and XR2s before. XR1s have a lot of initial bite that takes some getting used to. XR2s are more comparable to PFC11s. Durability is about the same. I can't seem to get more than 4-5 days out of any front pads.

I've never run the Ferodo's. I can't imagine that the DS1.11s would be that much more expensive. I bet that Apex Performance could get you a good deal on them. Clark will definitely save you 15% on the PFC11s.

On another note, I can't believe you sold the GT4 and are back into a M3. I'm interesting in hearing about how you liked the GT4 on track. Hope to see you soon - you gotta make a trip to ECR. I'll hollar when I'm heading back to Houston or CoTA.

You're putting so much effort for minimal loss. I would do what you're doing if the car was already stripped like joes (trinity).

Just take out big things and lose more lol

That’s surprising - I’ve experienced incredibly long life from the 08s. Do you have any brake ducting? Are you running long sessions each time?

Any chance you have the part numbers for the bearings needed to rebuild the diff? I have a diff that ate the pinion bearing, and plan to mess around with it.

Right, but I don't have the money for the big stuff right now so I'm just looking around. And I'm not ready to lose the speakers.

Heck no the speakers are the absolute last thing to go! After we stripped my car I had them put the stereo & speakers back in - can get pretty freaking boring out there on track without some music to keep you going!

Glad to see I'm not the only one with music on while driving, mandatory for me as well! Usually something with a beat. Have always been curious if the corner workers can hear it.

I also only get 4-5 days out of pfc08 on stock calipers. No ducting, and 20-30 min sessions typically. Also get pad fade so the pads are clearly getting out of their optimal temp zone and this causes accelerated wear for many running the 08 compound. I've switched to a PFC Z54 and Z45 bbk though
