Yours the white E90? I was down at the shop last week. Brian mentioned he has been getting a lot of RB jobs this year.

I absolutely love it, I'm actually contemplating about putting an X pipe with it. I actually lucked out it's got the Dinan exhaust, intake, throttle bodies, underdrive pulley and tune. On top of that it's a one owner car with a full service history from the BMW store.

I bought my car from them. They wouldn't even quote me, because they said it was a nonissue.

We are only a 4-hour drive up 75. You can check us out as well. PM me if you want more details. Swing by on a Friday night. You should be all buttoned up by Saturday night.

Pretty sure I saw your e90 down there last week. I was there with my buddy's e90 335i.

You mentioned youre thinking about an xpipe? Any interest in buying my DINAN xpipe? Paired with the DINAN rear, its PERFECT. Zero drone, quiet when you want it to be, and loud but not obnoxious when you step on it. I'm thinking about switching xpipes. My DINAN only has maybe 500 miles on it.

Are you serious? To say that it might not be necessary and it depends on your risk tolerance is one thing, to say it's a "non issue" is simply not true. Perhaps yours is a late model and the bearings were updated by BMW after a certain date?
Bottom line, mine were replaced preventatively at 70k and they needed it.

Yeah, that's smart. It's cheap insurance. I wasn't knocking your comment, just shocked a shop like EAG (or any shop) would actually tell someone that.

It would have meant that every E9X on their lot was worth less if they admitted that the bearings were an issue.

If they were trying to get over market value then I agree. But I hope you just happened to speak to someone who is uninformed. I would expect that from a random used car dealer but not EAG. They are self branded BMW specialists and if they told me this i would walk because its not credible information from BMW specialists.
