I'm getting the same p2430 and p2432 codes, and my car has 29K miles. I've instructed my dealer to try replacing this part first, before a bunch of expensive diagnostics, so I'm rolling the dice a bit. Hopefully this will address the issue; crossing my fingers...

Great news: I instructed my Dealer replace the Secondary Air Injection Hose (11727838504), instead of going through a bunch of expensive diagnostics, and fortunately this has resolved the p2430 and p2432 codes; my car now runs without any such codes!

Grrr. I'm not so lucky. I replaced the hose assembly and the P2430 and P2432 came back.
My next step is to double-check that nothing came loose, but assuming that I did the job carefully enough, what next? Can somebody confirm or deny that I should be able to feel suction on the intake-end of the hose on a cold-start? I'm hypothesizing that I should feel a little suction and that if I do not, then the air pump is out. Ideas about that, anybody? Or can my OBD reader tell me if the pump is not working? I just got the Autel and not too familiar yet. Edit: I just answered my own question, I found some time to test the cold-start theory: my car's pump works fine and you can definitely tell it's sucking air. Now where the hell is the fault? I might clear the fault again and hope for improvement? Last edited by OldenburgerM3; 12-31-2022 at 06:24 PM.. Reason: asked and answered |

Update: The emissions fault never went away. Since there are only two things that I see it could be: Pump or Hose, I'm buying the same hose again hoping that maybe the sensor isn't working. I'll report back after I do this thing again.
Update: Second time seems to have fixed it. Got a bad hose I guess. The sensor in the hose must be a barometric pressure sensor and it probably didn't work right? Dumb, but so far I've done five cold-starts and I'm alright. Previously the emissions fault came right back on the second cold start. One or two more days/cold-starts and I'll believe this chapter is completed. Yay! Last edited by OldenburgerM3; 02-24-2023 at 10:08 PM.. |
