Windows/Mirrors Not Working

So, this is the FIRST issue I've had with the car, and it's a weird one.

Went to take it out for a drive, and realized that the mirrors aren't folding down (unfolding?).

Then, realized that the windows were't functional from the driver's side switch.

Scanned the car with Carly, and it's giving me a couple of codes saying that it's failing to communicate in certain nodules.

What's strange is that the passenger's window will roll down as it should, and the windows will go down and up from the key fob.

Anyone have issues like this?

I bit the bullet and bought a new driver's switch as mine was starting to peel anyway, and that did not do the trick.

Any help is extraordinarily appreciated!

Also:

Fuses are fine.
I unplugged the mirror...still nothing.
The codes that are coming up are all FRM related. Is it possible that mine is fried?

I did. I mean...I washed it probably a month or so before that and it was fine then.

I’ve had this exact problem a few times but so far has self corrected party quickly. I too ordered a new switch panel but haven’t had a reoccurrence yet to check whether it resolves the issue.

I’m suspicious too that it’s moisture related, I tend to notice a trend following rain and high humidity.. the key fob can still be used to roll up/down the windows still so it does seem it’s something related to sensors from the frm or signal bus

Do your turn signals work? Sounds like your frm is failing or has failed

The frm is covered under and extended warranty by BMW.

Everything works as it should, minus the windows and mirrors. The windows will go up and down with the key fob, and the passenger's side window switch works. The comfort access will roll the windows up when locking, as well.

But, yeah...headlights, directionals, gauges...are all fine. Master switch is lit up as well.

My car is over 10 years old (early 2008 model). The warranty was an extension past the original (10 years or 156k, whichever comes first). Sucks as my car only has 25k on it.

So, everything else was fine? The only reason I'm hesitant about the FRM is because it's suffering from no other typical symptoms. This did happen after a wash, although when I took it for a drive directly after drying it, everything was functional. I hit my mirror switch as I usually do pulling into the garage and they went up as they should.

It's a dead FRM. Look into replacement.
