Yes haha it is super annoying. Even when you manually switch to airpods, it still switches back to mr12volt after 2 minutes.

It definitely helps if I remember to lock the car BUT ALSO I got into the habit of pressing the volume knob on the stereo whenever I park. This is normally what you do to mute the stereo but it turns off the mr12volt. If you can turn it into a habit it helps, especially if your living room is right next to your garage lol. It stays off until you press the physical knob again.

Im having a problem where some of the steering wheel controls are not working. To be precise its the 1) Accept Call Button 2) Next Song Button and 3)Previous Song Button.

Essentially the Call button and the 2 Arrow Buttons are not working. I also noticed that when I'm pressing the arrow buttons, the CD track is changing on IDrive even when im in the carplay interface

There is a setting that you need to confirm. I forget exactly where....I'd need to go back through a bunch of the old pages of this thread. I'll let you do that

Anyone else having issues with the reverse camera coming on after the latest update?

I have the greenyi camera and have never had any issues until I ran the latest update so that my iPhone17 would work again.

No issues here...are you talking about mr12volt update or iOS? I have had current iOS since it was released, not backup camera issues at all (same greenyi).

When was the last time you updated mr12volt software? Depending on model, it's either USB or microSD.

Once I updated the mr12volt via USB.

NEW P3000 MODEL UPDATE!

Mr12Volt have just launched the updated P3000-BMCC for CCC, promising improved functionality, no need to code CD changer and crucially increased phone call quality.

We have yet to test it to see how much of an improvement it is over the P2000 but as soon as we have our first stock come in we'll be putting it to the test:

https://www.evolveautomotive.co.uk/p...erface-bmw-e9x

It has come with a price increase to £381/$499, but hopefully the improvements justify that.

They've also launched the new model for the newer ID5/ID6 NBT EVO, and presumably we'll be getting a CIC variant imminently also.

It's good to see they keep improving their product. I might need to upgrade mine if the call quality is back to oem levels. Otherwise it truly is an awesome product for our cars.

Definitely going to be our main focus to test as soon as we get a unit in.

For anyone running into this, the following camera settings fixed it:
Camera-Aftermarket 360
Reverse-parking key

The NEW Lime Green P3000 box for the E Series CIC iDrive is now available....

This is interesting though....

If no factory CD changer is fitted, no coding is required.

I see they've also gone back to the iDrive controller connection instead of the Quadlock connector at the rear of the headunit. Much better, not having to squeeze aal that wire and connectors behind the headunit and will mean you wont have a block on headunit coding which the old method created.

I am really curious if the sound quality is improved? This is very annoying to me, as someone who loves to listen via the Enhanced Premium Sound System of my M3.

I am still puzzled as to why Wireless Carplay via P2000 CIC sounds worse then OEM BT streaming and of course wired USB connection 🤷🏻*♂️ The manufacturer could not explain to me.

Is there a new SoC or DSP in the P3000?

Allegedly there is a new DSP chipset, so hopefully it has improved it, but time will tell. But as I've only just replaced my original box with a new one I won't be buying the P3000 any time soon, I'll have to wait for my next customer to come along for one to be fitted and see.

Just came here to say that the CIC variant has now been released too!

We have one on the way to ourselves currently so can't wait to get it fitted and see what differences it makes over the existing model.

If there's anything specific people want us to test then let me know!

It is of course also available to order through ourselves, or as a bundle with the Induktiv wireless charger here - https://www.evolveautomotive.co.uk/p...s-e6x-5-series

Really looking forward to seeing some reviews / install feedback on the new CIC unit.
It could push me over the edge to pick one up.

I ordered a P2000 on Monday, and then found your previous post about the P3000 release for CCC. Glad to see Mr12Volt has launched the P3000 for CIC. I have one on the way.

I'm eager to see if there are any improvements with the camera interfaces, as well as the OEM microphone quality. Still wondering if it's worthwhile to install an aftermarket omni mic for phone calls.

Let us know if you think it'll be worth the upgrade, the description on the changes are pretty vague.

"NEW & UPDATED" "promising improved functionality, no need to code CD changer and crucially increased phone call quality."

Doesn't seem like much of an upgrade for those already on the 2000 Model.

Interesting- This seems like sort of a hybrid between the P2000 DSP model and the OEM mic model.

Connection is back to the old way where we tap canbus and power from the idrive controller instead of using a quadlock adapter like the OEM Mic model.

Also interesting theres a new DSP chipset.

I still have the DSP model- never moved to the OEM Mic version.

Will wait to see what people think about the new one.

I doubt it's aimed as an upgrade for existing uses I'd say it's just a better version for new customers. I'm sure some will upgrade though and I'd love to see their opinion of the "improvements"!!

I think it's really going to hinge on what type of phone call user you are.

If you only use the phone for very quick calls now and then I doubt the P3000 is going to be a huge step up.

However, if the P3000 does deliver on the promise of improved call quality, and it's going to be crucial that this is a consistent improvement regardless of call length, and you're the type of user who regularly has long phone calls it could be worth looking in to.

I'll try and benchmark a few things before/after in a video when it does arrive.

Not needing to code before fitting is a nice improvement for install. If as suspected we are still able to code the HU after installation that would also be a nice touch.
