OEM Headlights with G5-BRT Bi-Xenon HID Projector Retrofit Upgrade by VisionAutoWorks

Installed for ~900 miles. Removed to prepare car for sale.

Unlike the more common headlight "upgrades" (e.g. Bayoptiks) which are mostly cosmetic, this actually replaces the projectors for better performance. The bowls burn due to age so light output is significantly reduced. The modern G5-BRT have a wider, more intense projection, with crisp cutoff lines. AR coated lenses give a bluish-purple look at certain angles.

Headlights are a mint set from a Cali garage queen '13 E93. No degradation of the wiring sheaths which flake and crumble leading to exposed wires and electrical issues. A common problem due to BMW using biodegradable materials.

The plastic headlight covers were also reused instead of replaced with overseas ones, which are the only option since BMW doesn't sell them separately. They were lightly polished to preserve their original coating, then PPF'd with 3M Scotchgard Pro.

All else was left untouched and original, so the factory adaptive functionality and everything is retained. Truly an OEM+ upgrade.

Asking $1700 for the pair which come complete with original ballasts and bulbs. Replacement bulbs are available for an additional $200*

*Osram D1S Night Breaker 220 for low/high beam, Osram H3 Night Breaker for cornering, Osram H8 Fog Breaker for angel eyes, and Benzinfabrik PY24W Cree Amber LED for turn signals

Thanks so much for the kind words and everyone's support It's a great low-key setup. Sucks I couldn't enjoy it more.

I'm sorry, not sure why i thought you are in Cali.

Do you have pictures of lights on at night?

All good, I misread part of your post too.

Only have these from night of install. Parking lot pic not representative at all, wasn't perfectly flat plus lights needed adjusting up. Was freezing so didn't grab an after pic. Planned to make a whole thread on these, but they came off sooner than expected.

Daytime pic is to show the blue lenses, although that was on a cloudy, rainy day. More apparent on a clear sunny day.

The difference wouldn't be so much looking head on, but the projection on the road. This video by LightWerkz of an E90 M3 does a good job illustrating it:

Also to add some clarity, this retrofit works by simply removing the factory projector and installing the new projector with an adapter bracket which mounts in the same, factory mounting locations. Nothing is cut or modified otherwise and is completely reversible.
