1,200 mile service at 1,400 miles?

I currently have about 700 miles on my new M3; I might be driving out of town and not returning until my car is at about 1,400 miles. Is it ok to do the service at 1,400 or should I try to do it out of town closer to 1,200 miles? Thanks.

I had a similar issue and did not receive the first service untill about 1350. I just continued to follow pre first service regulations untill i could get it into the dealership. Ive had no issues.

Yep as long as you follow 1200 regulations.

I did mine at 1450. Had the same issue with the trip. I even ran it over 5500 rpm on a few occasions. I'm at 5,500 miles now and everything is great.

Being only 200 miles, I really doubt that anything bad would happen. As long as you get the whole service done, you'll be fine.

I had almost 1800. The mech told me it was not an issue at all as long as you stick to the guidelines (I did). I've had not problems since.
