Clever marketing from BMW.
Granted, the EDC is a $1500 option and is a nice addition, but the 10mm lower ride height costs nothing for them to implement and the cast 359m wheels are cheaper than the forged 220m's. Having said that, I would probably still tick the ZCP box |

Top Gear UK is one of my all time favorite running series, however, Jeremy's review wouldn't have changed my mind. At least he still thinks the M3 is the best sports coupe..err, i mean saloon.

Well that particular line is kind of funny though! Technically speaking its true.. Boxster was designed from scratch as such (as opposed to being originally a coupe that had its top chopped off).

I did. But probably would not have for the price Jeremy was quoting for the UK.

Yeah, he forgot a few things...
For me, ZCP again in a heartbeat, wouldn't even hesitate.

No question.
Sometimes Clarkson says some pretty stupid things.

So you think they put their credibility on the line for the sake of entertainment? I think not.

You have to understand that JC does not stand for Jesus Christ and therefore his word is not gospel. I specifically ordered the ZCP package because it does all the things I planned on doing to my 09, but didn't because of warranty issues. Ultimately, its a personal choice, which is why its an OPTION.

It's a waste of money if you're like me. I change my wheels and suspension the first two months I got the car. I could have applied the extra $2100 I paid for ZCP's to other related mods.

i don't think opinions are any different afterwards. we all knew zcp didn't add that much to performance for an amateur/casual driver. What you're really buying are the wheels.

It's not worth it. THe car is pretty sporty already if you ask me. Extra $5000CAD is not worth it. The car's ride height already causes enough inconvenience IMO. And I'm not a big fan of the rims either. But that is me!

There's the point- Top Gear is a UK program. You pay more for your options in Canadian$. Clarkson is talking about the UK pricing difference, not the US list prices (which everyone knows are one of the lowest anywhere for the M3).
