275/35/19 vs 265/35/19 Rears Re71R

I’ve been doing some searching around this and it seems the Re71r’s run big. My car is lowered on Dinan springs so not that aggressive but I want to make sure the 275’s will fit. This is a weekend only/track car with a Level 3 AA supercharger so I’m looking for maximum traction. Thinking about a 275/30 as well. Any thoughts on this?

You need to tell us what wheels you are using to get a definitive answer.

In general 275/35/19 is an easy fit on an e92. There's room for 295 or even 305's.

Good point! ZCP wheels. Some of my research suggests that those tires run wide and few people said they wouldn’t go any bigger than 265.

I have 275/35 PSS now.

They fit fine on my 220s at that size. Only had slight rub up front at full turn in parking lots. The tire is just a bit more square, it has less roll-off, if you will, on the outer edges. After about 2k on them it went away.

Hey man! Thanks and that makes sense. I was looking at Get Lit’s 275’s
on his E90 and they looked huge. He said he bought the 275/30’s because of it. I think i will just order the 275/35’s and go with it.

Look at it this way. It's common to run 12mm spacers on ZCP wheels with 275/35/19 Michelins (that's what I did in the past at least). Even if the RE71R runs wide, they sure aren't going to run 24mm wider than a Michelin. In other words, ZCP wheel without spacers has plenty of room on the outside.

Just so you know, they claim to be 200 tread wear, but they're not. More like 180 or less. SO, they will wear quickly. I got one auto-x season out of them including about 6,000 miles of daily driving. And that might be modest. With that said, they are hands down the best tire I've ever driven on. The braking traction you get is incredible. They're predictable and only squeal in turns just to let you know you've almost reached their limit. Oh and they're loud on the highway. Hope that helps.

Perfect! That’s exactly what I’m looking for. I figured they would be loud as hell on the freeway, and that’s why i waited until after the Tail of the Dragon trip to get some. Thanks man.

I don't know if it helps since you are using I run 265/35/18 RE71R on front and 285/35/18 RS4 on rear without rubbing.

My stock sizes are P zero 245/35/19 front and PSS 265/40/19 rear.

Tire sizes

I was running 265/30/19 front and 275/35/19 rear Yokohama Advan AD08R
Rears were worn, this time I got 295/30/19 rears, they are slightly shorter and definitely wider. Accelerates better, the car was neutral now understeers because of the extra rear rubber, definitely more rear lateral grip.
I have fully adjustable suspension, AST 3 ways etc. I am going to put my rear sway bar one setting stiffer or the front one setting softer to balance out the car.
No rubbing at all in the rear, the front rubs slightly at full lock but never under driving.
I thought about the RE71 R but they don’t have a 265/30 or 275/30/19 for the front. The e92 is heavy and needs wider tires than will fit up front.
