Help: E46 M3 music and iPhone connectivity help

BMW Fans!

I have a technology question regarding the interface on my 2006 E46 M3 Convertible with GPS

I'm willing to do just about anything to be able to hook-up my iPhone to my interface, but I understand there aren't many options available

I know BavSound makes one option, but it has some downsides?

Is there any shop in the tristate area that can help me with this?

I'm installing one of these into my R53 Mini and I know that my Indy shop guy has one in his E46 M3 (maybe not the same model, I would check). It's an option for you.
