carbon fiber interior options......

Hello,
I'm thinking of picking up a 2008 E90 M3 since I'm getting a good deal vs ordering a 2009. Thing is that the car has wood interior and I want carbon fiber. Does anyone know of CF kits other than AC or BMW oem parts?
Thanks

Do you want real carbon fiber, something that looks like CF (plastic), or the CF leather? There are vendors that do the CF and faux CF (google or use search for it here), but I believe you can only get the CF leather from BMW. If you have the wood wrapped with leather from a third party, then you can choose any kind of leather (except CF look leather?) -- another option you might want to look into.

Thanks for the info man. I am not sure about the leather CF look from BMW...I think I would rather get "plastic" CF since I am sure real CF must be extremely expensive? I have the latest catalog from BWM parts and the CF upgrade they offer (even for the center console with idrive) looks like real CF and not leather CF...I have to see it in person to be sure...

vorsteiner makes real CF but it's pricey. My car had the cheap plastic shadowline trim. I ordered just the dash pieces from Tischer and replaced them, looks pretty good.

It's real CF wrapped over the OEM parts so at the minimum you will be paying for the OEM trim pieces. I believe they do this to ensure perfect fitment.

ACS offers a silver CF trim kit but I believe that even comes at a higher price point. Might not be your cup of tea either. Both kits are of the same quality...

***EDIT*** Found the pricing for the ACS kit

I'd be curious to see the Vorsteiner one installed. Has anyone done this?

CF leather wrap
Nice! Could you wrap the lower dash -- the part from the cupholders down to the floor -- in CF trim? I like full leather in a color other than black, but the parts around the cupholders just don't look right in any other color than black. I'm not sure the CF would look ok, maybe a straight black will do better, but I curious to see this -- maybe someone can pshop it.

BTW, it seems BMW started something with this CF leather. Others seem to be picking it up. Check out this. You can also get a CF leather cover for your iPhone. Am I right in assuming that BMW pioneered this type of leather?

CF vinyl has been around for a long time so changing the material to leather is not exactly pioneering anything. I'm pretty sure CF leather has been used in other applications before. BMW might be the first to use it in a car.

Those parts are big so it would cost more to wrap them. Also, we only offer the wrap in black. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I drove down to Hartge a couple weeks ago to hear their exhaust, checked out the CF trim too. It was really nice quality stuff and they can customize some OEM pieces (and do silver CF)...there are too many performance and exterior mods that I want before I start changing the interior so I tossed the price quotes, sorry. I just remember that their kit didn't include the center console, I asked for a quote to have it added so that the Hartge and VRS kit had all the same pieces. Euro to $ fluctuates plus I get the added benefit of tax relief here...can't remember exact numbers but it was ~ 10% less than the VRS price...and the quality was excellent.

btw, their Full non-TUV exhaust was amazing (fit, looks, sound)...but so was the price...~7,000 Euro for SS.
