Would you buy a 100K miles s65 engine for 8K? I don't believe so..and so are others..
I said drivetrain which includes trans diff engine and all accessories.. I'd pay $5-6k for a 87k mile complete engine all day..

Just for kicks I checked ebay sold listing for S65 engines and 2 sold somewhat recently, 1 in june for ~5k and one in march for ~4.5k. And we don't know how long those sat listed for. I ended up just letting them take it, if I were in a slightly better situation garage and financially I would've kept and repaired on the cheap. It starts up and drives just fine sans a couple flat tires.

Making fun of a Honda? At least Honda engine with 100k miles is still broken in whereas M3 with 100k is near the end of its life!

Do i see an authentic Varis upper and lower diffuser too? Looks ruined however but it may have protected your underside from the diff back very well.

It doesn't matter that you guys think its value is less than that...You'd be wrong. Is it worth less to you? No doubt.

As mentioned already, insurance companies aren't stupid. That car will sell at auction for every bit of 8k. I participate in all the auctions and see worse off M3's sell for more all the time.

Glad you walked away from the accident. But if you don't intend to repair it, let it go. You'd do well parting it out but unless you're equipped for that your time would be better spent elsewhere.
