Need help with valuation on low mile E90
As stated in the title, I have a 2011 E90 M3 with 19950 mi on it and I have come to the sad conclusion it is probably time to sell as I don't really drive it and it is too nice to turn into a dedicated track car. Plus I have developed a Toyota Landcruiser problem and am running out of space for vehicles.
It looks like E90s are a bit rarer than other E9x variants so I need help with what to price it at. There are not many extremely low (under 20k mi) E90s out there so not much to compare it to. I custom ordered this back in 2011. AW/Fox Red interior. ZCP, EDC. No nav and no sunroof. Not a scratch on it. It has only ever been hand washed by me and always garaged. I don't even drive it if there is a 'chance' of rain in the forecast. All original with zero aftermarket additions. Any ideas? $38k? |

Based on the information you have given 2011 AW/FR, under 20K miles, ZCP and no nav, slicktop, all original...your car should be able to fetch north of $40k easily.
If you have cloth seats, then this makes this much more desirable. If it doesn't and has leather seat, its still a great spec car that I'm willing to consider for around $40K. I have a feeling after you generating this thread that individuals are going to send you private messages asking for pictures and giving you offers already before even posting the car Gluck with the sale OP and if it was me, I would try to hold on to the car as much as possible and try to make room in between your other cars

It’s a great car in a great combination optioned right. Just remember this is 2019 most average people don’t have $40k laying around to spend on a car through a private sale, a lot of people are still financing. It really comes down to how long you wanna hold onto it. You might have better luck having someone like eag consign it for you or put it on BAT.

OP, sounds like a lovely motor. Can't comment on your local pricing but yes the E90 ZCP is pretty rare, check numbers here: https://bmwmregistry.com/model_faq.php?id=50
Over here (Sweden), prices for low mileage well spec'd cars are still well over $40K. |

Thank you everyone for you help. One other feature (or lack of) I forgot to mention that people seem to like....manual seats.
I have already received quite a few PMs and will list this in the classified section. The same thing happened when I sold my low mile E46 M3 that was AW/Cinn/6MT/ZCP with no other options (other than HIDs). Things actually turned into a bidding war but I had to deal with people flaking out after saying they would buy it so EAG wrote me a check for a fair price. I may go the same route. Again, emotional decision letting this go but even with a 4000sf workshop that I am building, just too many projects and not enough space or time to put this car into long term storage. If this sells, this will be my first time without an M car since 2006. Lots of good memories with both M3's. |

You don't have to look very hard to come up with a ~$40k figure for the car in the OP.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2011-bmw-m3-48/ ^This car sold for $35k plus the buyers fee. 2x the mileage as the OPs car, a fairly non desirable interior, Nav, etc. To think that an Alpine White on Fox Red car with sub 20k miles wouldn't be worth near or above $40k is a reflection of not knowing the market. |

Also, speaking from your experience, bought my 2011 LMB with 28k miles, non-nav, slicktop, manual seats and 6MT with only option being are Novillo leather and 19” wheels. After everything said and done, spent easily over $40k for the car. With OPs addition of ZCP package and being the original owner with records, his car should be able to fetch near or above $40k as lat77 stated. It may be a forum member, someone from BAT or simply EAG buying it, just need to find the right buyer. Thanks OP for allowing forum members to get a shot on owning this rare beauty

yep
If your car is mint, bone-stock, with service history and a slick-top then I suggest you call EAG for a ballpark price.... just for shits and giggles. If they don't offer you mid to high 40's then the beer is on me.

$40k+ for sure. MT vs DCT is very subjective, i dont think it matters as there will be buyers for both.

There were a *grand total* of 239 2011 6MT slicktops, IIRC. No navigation cuts that number down dramatically. The number of these cars that are super cherry and low miles today is TINY. I doubt that there are more than a couple dozen comparable cars out there. If that. Hell, I wonder what percentage of these cars have been totaled? M3s get crashed a LOT.

Anyway, the last I saw cherry stripper E90 6MT ZCPs at EAG, they were asking $45k for them and they sold. With double the miles. And they seem to be having trouble finding them these days.
I don't see any reason why this car, assuming that the condition is commensurate with the description, would trade for less than that. Edit: And AW/Fox is a lot of buyer's top choices.

I am going to list it in the classified section hopefully this evening, with photos. Thank you everyone for helping me get a ballpark idea on price. I really hope it goes to a true enthusiast who is able to appreciate this car as much as I did. I can honestly say that I shed a few tears when the transporter picked up my E46 when that sold, and likely the same will happen with my E90. I'm sure there will be another M car in my future. |

Echos my sentiments earlier. No way this car doesn't fetch $40k. Get two guys in a room who want a low mileage, single hump, slicktop and you'd have a war. |
