Any one know this Limerock for sale ??

Hey everybody, Does anyone know anything about this limerock for sale at Burlingame, CA (contiautosales) ?

Car is going to pre purchase inspection on Monday but i still want to hear if any of you know anything about it. License plate says LIM3E92 if that helps,

BMW of SF remains one of, if not the only, BMW dealership that is still family owned by BMW enthusiasts, and last time I was there, they had a Limerock M3 on their roof lot. I asked about the price, and I was told it was not for sale, it was one of the owner's personal cars.

Considering the low volume of these cars and BMW's strict rules for dealers being unable to sell older / classic BMWs, maybe it's the same car, try giving them a call and asking if the owner put it on commission.

The Carfax on this car is sketchy. Sold in 2016, but not registered to a new owner until 2018. Also shows an accident in 2015. It has been posted up for sale on Craigslist for about a month as well...

Also noticed the hood doesn't line up completely on the drivers side. Not sure if they just forgot to close the hood all the way for the photos or it's due to damage, but that's obviously something to check out.

I got current pictures of the car, they just forgot to close the hood i guess, it lines up perfectly as far as i see from current pictures.

car is at the fast lane european service now, inspection should be done in an hour or so, lets see what they say..

who arranged for that shop to PPI the car? that shop is over 30min drive from the dealer... in the bay area, 30 min is pretty damn far. There are numerous reputable shops closer than Fast Lane...

That was my idea actually, the car was serviced there last couple of years, owner knew the car so well, so i made them to take there. and i had no idea how far they were, lol. i'm from st.louis mo.
Anyways, car came out almost perfect, front tires need to changed, other than that it is perfect, no body work or paint, everything is original
Shipping company should pick up the car soon and i cant wait to get it.

On the East coast, the owners of West German BMW outside of Philly also own a Lime Rock and as I understand it, they also recently (in 2019) purchased a 2002 of some vintage. The LR has been sitting in their showroom for years. I went in a few years ago when the thought of considering an e92 M first came to mind. Nope, it wasn't for sale.

LOVE orange on these cars and if I could find one for the right price, I'd absolutely pounce on one.

I’ve never used open shipping before but i kinda had to this time, i had to wait 10 or 12 days for enclosed and i was like sorry cant do it, bring my car asap lol. Anyways,
I spoke with the driver, she should be here latest on monday 😈, cant wait!

Yeah crazy small world for sure. I saw the bright orange on that truck and license plate on that line rock as I approached from the back and knew it was the same car. Lol

Love my 4Runner. I commute from tahoe to SF so I need the 4wd during the winter. And would never drive my M's during the winter.
