P3 Vent Gauge Install help

I am about to install the P3 Vent gauge in my ESS G1 Supercharged E90 M3. I was just curious where everyone that has this vent gauge t’d in the boost line for the gauge. I read that you are not supposed to t into the line for the bypass valve and leave that line solely dedicated to the bypass valve. However, that is where I see most people tapping the boost line into. Is there another optimal place to tap the boost line into or should I just go with the bypass valve line? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

If the boost line is coming off of the fuel vent valve line then just T it.

I ended up T’ing into the line for the bypass valve. I used a brass t fitting instead of plastic one provided and used ear clamps on all the links. Hopefully no boost leak from the line.

Did this already for my meth kit. The boost levels are way less than pulling directly from a velocity stack and also the levels do not dynamically change as they should because the reading is so far from the source. Would not recommend. This is why awron sells a velocity stack to install boost sensor and temp sensor. We plug one of the holes and use the other as an output for a direct to boost gauge line.

The way to do this correctly is get an awron velocity stack and a fitting and a plug:

I’ve already done all the footwork to source the parts needed:

Don’t you lose the vacuum reading by tapping into the velocity stacks?

yes, anything past the throttle plate on this car does not read vacuum.
