2010 BMW E92 M3 - 85k miles - rktunes - KW HAS - Rod bearings done
I have my garaged 2010 BMW E92 M3 for sale. It has just under 87k miles and is in excellent condition. The car is low mileage for the year. The E92 M3 is simply legendary. It is the first and only M3 made with a V8. This one has all the bells and whistles including iDrive, heated seats, DCT, EDC, and the Individual sound upgrade. On the exterior it is painted in lovely Jerez-black metallic with full black leather interior. The original sticker with options is attached. It even has the upgraded ZCP wheels running michelin tires. The title is clean and in hand. If you know what this car is, then there really isnt much to explain. But this thing truly is a treat to own and drive. The S65 V8 starts right up and screams past 8k rpms without a hiccup. This isnt anything like the current V8s offered by BMW. With its' high revving nature, this is purely a driver focused car. It has hydraulic steering and sharp throttle response, it is unlike any sports car offered today. Aside from the grunt this thing has, and it has plenty, it turns and stops on a dime. This car is essentially FBO and has been tastefully modified. It has an upgraded megan racing muffler, with turner motorsports test pipes, and secondary cats deleted. It's also running a tune from RKtunes that really wakes the car up with maps for burble or no burble that can be easily flashed and will come with the car. I've put alot of time and energy into this can and tried to keep it in as pristine condition as possible. It has a ceramic coating freshly applied at the end of the summer. Given the cars rarity, especially a clean example like this one, and the current prices on these. Overall this car has been babied while also appreciating it for what it is. To address the elephant in the room: Rod bearings and Throttle actuators. The previous owner did get multiple blackstone tests and they didn't indicate that the rod bearings were bad. The car starts up perfectly fine every time with no ticks or any signs of wear. But this is a topic of contention in the E9X M3 community. So, I went ahead and got Rod Bearings replaced just this month as of Feb 2021 with 85k miles. I have the paperwork for the entire replacement and job. While the bearings were getting done, we went ahead and replaced the bolts with ARP bolts, entire oil pan and gaskets have been replaced, and lastly, Both motor mounts were replaced while we were in there(most people skip this step). All in all, the car drives and runs like new at this point. As far as the throttle actuators. These don't go out until they go out and so far they are fine. I have been told by the previous owner that the owner before him may have gotten them replaced at around 50k miles but I don't really have any proof to back this up. Notable options: - Comfort Access - Individual Sound - iDrive - Heated Seats - DCT - EDC - Carbon leather trim - Sunroof For a more comprehensive list of options: https://www.mdecoder.com/decode/wbswd9c55ap362966 This car is ready to go and has all the maintenance up to date. Listed is some of the recent maintenance: - Oil pan and Oil and filter change Feb 2021 - 86k - Both Motor mounts replaced during rod bearings install - 86k - Rod Bearings replaced along with ARP bolts - 86k - Oil and filter change oct 2020 - 84k - Cabin air filter - 80k - Air filters - 80k - Diff fluid change - 80k - Spark plugs - 80k - Water pump and thermostat - 54k Now for the fun stuff, Mods list: - KW HAS kit for suspension upgrade - no rubbing or fitment issues at all and can be adjusted in height - Upgraded ZCP wheels with 295 rear and 245 front Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires - Turner Motorsports Test pipes - Megan racing muffler - RKtunes ECU tune - Carbon fiber performance rear spoiler - GTS style carbon fiber front splitter - Red Start/Stop button and M button from IND - Upgraded aluminum paddle shifters (full upgrade/replacement, not stick-on) If you have any questions at all, I'd be more than happy to answer them.
