Haha yes sir! Can't hide that. Purchased the car in Virginia with the half cage and Megan Race exhaust pipes and tips installed - (cat back muffler delete). The rest is OEM outside of some minor cosmetic upgrades I did this weekend.

I posted some more pictures and info in the general forum: https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=25279301

Been cruising around the forum the last couple of weeks, love your Space Grey as well!

Clean car, congrats!

A ceramic coating will make cleaning easier, then just a brush/cleaner of your choice. PITA for sure. Gunmetal also helps

10/5 spacers going on this week finally.

10/5 is the set up I want to run but I've been wary of it given some of the negative comments I've read of running anything smaller than 10. Let me know how the set up rides and if you get any vibration out of it. What spacers are you going with?

Also loving that steering wheel I see in there. Is that the Lime Rock wheel?

Quality spacers, if installed properly, should be fine. Even the GTS has 5mm front spacers from the factory. 5mm spacers just don't have extended hubs, but enough of the OEM hub pokes through. 10mm fitment depends on wheels, but work with OEM wheels. People get vibrations from all sizes and for sure if mine vibrate (I went with Bimmerworld, at least haven't heard of any issues with them), they'll be yanked. I'll report back with some photos and a review!

Yup, it's an M Performance Wheel, which came in the LRP cars.

Installed the Bimmerworld 10mm F and 5mm R spacers with extended lugs. Cleaned up the hubs with a wire brush, proper torquing, and they are buttery smooth up to Mexico speeds. The rear is perfect, the front will be after I get the camber plates on. 255/275 PS4S, stock ZCP suspension. Funny they feel so small in your hand and yet make a noticeable difference when installed.

Top pairs before, bottom pairs after.

Perfect!! I have been looking for pictures of this set up for a while now. Thank you for sharing. I'm likely going to be going with this same set up after seeing this, looks excellent.

Really happy with the fitment, fills it out without being overly aggressive, aftermarket looking, etc. No risk of rubbing, less tire debris down the side of the car, etc.

Here are some better pictures showing the fitment. Also, PM replied! Cheers,

Let's take a moment and give a standing ovation for the e46 M3, this was the birth of the CSL style wheels we all love so dearly!

Cheers.

Decided to tackle the baked on brake dust that I bought the car with this weekend. I bought the Mother's aluminum wheel cleaner and EZ brush. Did nothing.
Weirdly enough I grabbed one of my girlfriend's Mr Clean Magic Erasers and it did the job. Takes some elbow grease but nearly all of the baked on brake dust is gone. Pretty happy with the result!

Looks great!

Anyone have tips for that hard, rock like black road grime that gets stuck on the inside barrel?

1. E46 M3 competition
2. E9X M3 competition
3. E39 M5
4. MK4 R32
5. C5 RS6
6. B7 RS4
7. 997.2 911 GT3

How is the motor disappointing? Having been a prior owner of multiple E46 and E9X M3's (...and currently on my second F82), I find the F8X to be the superior car in every objective measure, and for the most part the S55 feels/performs like an N/A motor (..meaning, lag is minimal in stock form). I do agree with you about the F8X ZCP wheels. I never quite cared for them. The E46/E9X ZCP wheels are some of the best looking OEM wheels ever conceived by BBS.

I've taken a few new M3's out at Thermal. They are pretty fast for stock (on slicks) but the engine def does not feel like NA to me. Lots of torque out the corners get squiggly wiggly and then after 5,500rpm on the straits power comes down so much I asked to switch cars once as I thought it was in limp mode but no that's just the powerband. I'm sure u can mod them up so they dont behave this way.

There's so much more to NA feeling (let alone of the S65 caliber) than "minimal turbo lag."
They're fast as hell and better in objectively every measure, but not nearly as fun/special in any subjective measure. I paid F80 money for E90, happily. Many people on this forum have moved up, and then moved right back into an E9X. Different strokes (pun intended) for different folks.
