Any type of rinseless wash. APC or degreaser with brushes and a light mist of water if it is really dirty.

I use Simple Green that is rinsed off and then followed up with Armor All. All god suggestions here. I do mine every six months to keep it shiny and dirt free.

I have a bottle of some old AMMO NYC Citrus. I don't even think he sells it anymore.
As a backup I have a bottle of some Meg's APC too. Some people fear using a hose in their engine bay. I turn it to a soft garden setting and just go left to right on the engine bay, then spray the Citrus stuff or APC over the water. Then I take a old rag, sponge, or something that doesn't touch the body of my M3, and scrub some dirt. I then again soft hose off with water, then use my DeWalt mini air blower to get most of the standing water. |

Just a PSA for those considering, the rubber gasket connections in some areas of my engine bay are dry rotted (2008). It would make zero sense to introduce any water into the area. I use a microfiber after washing car along with an all purpose on towel.
I had a EDC error and checked the wiring, the boot fell apart in my hands. I taped it up. That said, likely just the tip of the iceberg. Last edited by InnerBlueSkies; 03-19-2019 at 08:10 AM.. |

this! it works much better than anything I've used so far. I've tried simple green, adams APC, engine degreaser, etc.
literally spray it on, let it foam/sit, agitate with brush and it cleans everything up amazingly well.

Can use AMMO FROTHE on it. It's a waterless wash that's safe for most areas.

No, it's safe on paint. Have used it for years and haven't had any problems.
