I've owned @ 12 different cars in my lifetime.
And the honor of "best overall car" for me, was my beloved 98' Lexus GS400. I owned it for 5yrs before selling it (well above market value). That car was as rock solid as they come!

all mine are listed in the sig.
458 - best sports car. just makes you feel like a god. like you are lewis hamilton. GTR - amazing tech. feeling the car shuffling power around to different wheels and launching you out of corners. so much traction both with braking and acceleration. FRS - such a fun honest car. you can just take all your anger out on it. handles amazing. But the downside is that it feels like you are driving a tin can. F30 - letdown. I traded my FRS for this. Its comfy but i missed the FRS alot. E46 - beautiful. iconic. probably the prettiest BMW. jack of all trades. great handling. nothing this car can't do. F80 - have your cake and eat it too. The perfect modern day blend of luxury and performance. 4 doors, flared arches, 6 speed, carbon roof. makes me remember the old DTM racing cars.

I just sold my 2001 GS430 late last year, was fully modified (suspension, wheels, exhaust, etc.), and drove it for 330,000 miles! And then was able to sell it for $5k because of how well I kept it up. LOVED that car too, obviously. |

I have had BMWs since 1971. Easy answer is my current M2. Best sound and fantastic handling.

Interesting, but not surprising, to see S2000 appears to be the most mentioned.
Awesome to see multiple people responded with a Lightning! I loved mine, for a do everything vehicle (literally...could drive it each day, tow stuff, haul stuff...), I still want another one some day. Turn it into the tow pig. I think my best car was my E90 M3 6MT. It just did everything right. |

@run silent. Already clarified. Everyone defines best differently so it's about best in your opinion/best for you. Someone might say it's their Hellcat... another might say it's their Chevy LS4 they transplanted into their Acura... anything goes.

My favourite, Mercedes 08 ml320 cdi, diesel, AWD.
Block Heater for winter. No urea tank, stock 398 torque, piggyback tune for 478 torque. 1200 km from a tank, 8.8l/100 km on a 4600lb vehicle. Heated front and back seats and heated steering wheel. Absolute bull to haul trailer to the track or camping. Bought it used for 13,000 CAD. |
