Well, this is somehow sufficient. Best would be 10 Ohms. Problem is that the OP Amp used in JoyeAuto (TPF605A) is not stable at capacity loads higher than 120 pf. So this 56 Ohms (in parallel with the rest of the circuit) is a compromise between stability and frequency response.

RE: The frequency response for the 10KHz range still looks rather low at -60dB vs -40dB in the iPhone 6s. It definitely looks like a bandpass from the china factory! Is the bass restored as the result Freq Response still looks lacking.

1) Frequency response at 10khz. Please compare to frequency response at 1kHz in the same diagram. Absolute values depend on measurement equipments and do not say anything. All values have been measured at arrount 500mv pp output voltage.
2) Bass response is lower than Iphone. Yes, it is, but changing this requires the replacement of a couple of components. As it is somehow like -3 db at 50 Hz you can adjust this with the normal sound settings. It is a compromise, but I can live with that.

Thanks for the responses. That definitely sounds like a decent compromise. I'm waiting for the vendor to come back from holiday and send a new unit to me.

I've installed this weekend my Kremersino unit on X3 f25 CIC, Apple Carplay is really cool in a 2011 car

- The sound is good via the aux, good bass...
- Wireless losts connection (maybe my phone...)
- Can't "wired connect" apple carplay, maybe my fault...
- Steering wheel only volume button works

Update - I lowered the aux volume and it seemed to make the sound better, so i got rid of my ground loop.

Sound is good now but not as good as USB. Only issue i am having is spotify cutting out and ive notice GPS is not accurate when the phones in my pocket (might be GPS limitations)

to all that contacted Kremersino, if i was to buy one from allie express from Kremersino store, the product will be new version or the old? I think i am ready to do this. I need the front and rear camera, so this is probably a better route to go.

Anyone install a trunk handle camera with one of these units? Does it work OEM-style when you put the car in reverse? Just received my joyeauto unit and a little confused on how to wire the camera in.

It’s simple. Yellow plug and red wire power is all you need.

I'm sending mine back. My brother's wired Apple Carplay unit sounds perfectly fine when plugged into my car. I only swapped the unit.

I'm using USPS flat rate small box which is about $34.65 to ship back. Not happy about paying but I want a working acceptable solution vs. half of one.

I was talking to him today on whatsapp but he didn't get to my question about the firmware... frustrating because of the timezone difference, if i get up at 6am he's already heading out of the office. otherwise i need to stay up to talk to him at like midnight :/

he did reply to my email this morning that i sent him last night, requesting the order number. I've been having some issues that i need sorted out before the warranty expires. freezing, when i hold back to go to NBT screen it takes a really long time, and usually doesn't switch back, and now i am not getting any audio through carplay.. which maybe the connector came loose? i'm going to pop it out and check this weekend i think.. but it's reallllly tucked in there, above the glovebox.

please post FW (and which device you have) if you get it!

i've just order the kremersino unit. Michael inform me that it's the newer one. once installed will provide some feedback. I have also order the front and rear camera from kremersino as well.

damn this thread was hard to follow, like 3-4 unit types.
Then NBT/EVO feedback mixing with CIC/CCC.
Other platforms (f30,etc)
Android Auto vs Car Play
Android / iOS versions or different phones

Enough to make your head spin.

If someone can make a unit that can do Android Auto with latest Android 10 on my 3XL with good audio I'd try it, until then I won't be trying.

IMO: all of these android/carplay/add-on stuff are flawed and audio is usually crap. #ChangeMyMind
