easily installed as cutting the old "y" off and welding these on? do you ha e any pics on how they're welded up exactly?

Correct. This is an image I took when I had to show the guy that originally ceramic coated my tips what I was pissed about.

My only problem with this exhaust is the look of it...I wish it had similar look to MPE or Eissenman, it would have been the PERFECT exhaust to have in e9X M3

I just had the whole thing ceramic coated black. With the rear valence in place, you don't see much of it, anyway.
