Changing spark plugs ESS Supercharged

Hi guys,

To those that have changed their spark plugs on ESS supercharged M3's, can any of you give me a few pointers?

I attempted to do it last weekend and ran out of time. Do I have to remove the supercharger to get to the drivers side bank of plugs? As for the passenger side, i assume if I remove the air to water gear I will have enough access to get to the plugs?

Any tips to make this job easier would be much appreciated!

Cheers

So I followed the instructions in the link jdamore posted and the job took just over 2 hours. Pretty easy nuts and bolts job. Getting the plastic covers off the drivers side bank was the worst part of the job.

Used a coat hanger to yank the coils which also worked very well

I didn't bother installing the plastic covers when I put my supercharger in. Planning on changing spark plugs every 10-15k miles and the added hassle of removing/reinstalling the covers every time seems unnecessary.

+1 on not re-installing the plastic covers since I change every 10k miles

I would say your missing the supercharger or the diverter valve and corresponding tubes..

Its not much more work (if any) then removing the factory air box.

Definitely a girl. I don't find it appealing to climb inside a man and start man handling knobs.
