To add to the M stable which one would you add in terms of future value, future classic, better weekend car. Already have e90 m as weekender. Tia

E30 for the future value/classic car (good luck finding one..) and e46 for weekend warrior driving. E36 in the North American market was rather underwhelming

E30M is already there, but the E46 will be next. E36 has appreciated some but is too close to the 328 in US spec. The E46 is a really engaging car.
The funny thing is, if you have the money and are willing to spend it, the E30 is relatively attainable. Some of our E9x cars are significantly more rare when you look at production #s.

Here in Germany I would get an E36 M3, these are still rather "affordable", the E46 M3 prices have sky-rocketed and the E30 M3 is too valuable to drive around.
E36 in US spec is close to a "standard" E36... As I have an M3 now, I would however rather go after a Z3 Coupe (the Z3 M Coupes are too expensive meanwhile, but the Clownshoe itself will appreciate some more I would guess) or even a Z3 Coupe. Other than that, E31 is one of my all time favourites! |

Z4M Coupe.
They are going to start going up I'm sure of it, much more rare than the other M cars, and they look fabulous. |

I vote go S54. So late Clown Shoe, E46M, or Z4M Coupe.
Z4M Coupe would get my ultimate vote as it doesn't appear that people are really aware of it for some reason? Prices have completely gone stale and are glued to high 20s for a good example. I came entirely too close to purchasing one with low miles about a year or so ago. Still wonder why I didn't......... If I had more cash and wanted to play, an S54 Clown Shoe would be an epic garage partner. Heck, an S52 is still a bucket 'o fun. I say more cash just because I don't think they warrant the money they demand. E46M is the sensible choice, however. I don't think I really need to go into details as to why. You get it or you don't. And as a final note, there's just something about a 4-door E36M..... Pants get tight. Not the best performer of the bunch, but it's just such a classic looking car with the stubby length doors. Why? You have an E90 in the garage to compliment. Get something different. Last edited by spazzyfry123; 06-20-2018 at 08:28 PM.. |

Agreed that anything with an S54 is the next collectible M car. Z4Ms in particular IMO.
